  • Beautiful! I love it! Could you post the words for the song and what they mean please?

  • @drollroll Well, to honest, I know a lot about Yorubasongs, but this is from a different tribe: Bantu. It is difficult to find the meaning of the words. I can only write it down fonetic as the Cubans do.

Konke, galo bia cha pia cantero konke. And: Dale man kwinda.

  • @mdm2230 Thank you.

  • Michael Spiro and Conga Masterclass play this rhythm in 3 meter... is this something different altogether from their version?

I like your version as it sounds like the version on Afro-Cuba: a musical anthology

  • @jaws21015 I tried to the version of Michael Spiro, but I couldn't find it. Most of the time his rhythms are very good very close to the tradition. So if it doesn't sound like mine, perhaps it is something different.

My version is like the old anthology version (Bantu version).

  • This rhythm sounds to me somewhat similar to Cumbia, maybe it's time I take a break, lol.

  • A one man band AND a choir! You are amazing :) Veel liefs

  • @buddha115 I've rehearsed it a lot!!!
