cuz whem u have that many motors on a boat it displaces so much water that the water cant refill the lost water and your blades will be trying to push the boat through bubbly water which will give you a really crappy acceleration. it wont give you extra speed cuz this isnt basic math ^^. all it will do is in about mid speed it'll give you better acceleration.

my boss just bought a 43ft barge with 3 300 four stroke yamahas in the bahamas... the thing cost upwards of 500k and is soo nice! cruises at about 25-30knts getting half a mile to the gallon.. nice and fast! glad im not paying the fuel bill.

Water pumps melted.....expensive. Props chewed up....more expensive. Engine failure due to excessive overheats....really expensive. Having to replace 8 engine blocks...... Not "priceless". EXPENSIVE AS HELL.
