  • This iz hurtz mt eyez to c dizz but my heart az well

  • That was a sad scene. Great movie! But seeing a beautiful Lincoln getting crushed like that brings a tear to me eye...

  • How can so meany people hate a seine from James Bond, I always loved this bit when I was a kid and I still do. Bond films never get old.

  • Back then it was just another car.

Would you feel sad if someone crushed a fucking Lincoln Navigator right now?

    But its still stupid.

  • I almost threw-up & killed myself wen i saw them do this to a BEAUTIFUL luxury car!

  • we can see there's no motor in the lincoln starting at 0:23

  • bastards

  • does anybody actually know that this scene is from a James bond movie?

  • Comment removed

  • F_cking sick--I hate this travesty!

  • Those are such bad ass cars. Kills me to see this!

  • I love how they load a crushed 4500 pound lincoln in the back of a rachero and it doesnt even squat

  • @TierodMcslush Its got no engine :p

  • @Menolifee

    Yeah, it doesn't.

The moment the car is lifted into the air, you can see light through the front grille.

  • this is a 1964

     lincoln

  • @junieclay The one that drives in a '64, the one that's crushed is a '63.

  • @reijerlincoln My Dad purchased a 64 Lincoln Convertable back in 1977. the original invoice in the glove box said it was purchased new at Hollywood Lincoln in California. I still own my 64 Continental convertable that I bought in high school back in 1973. Currently stored in Oregon

  • @mustangmooney21 Wow...almost 40 years of ownership! Very cool. Quick tip: join thelincolnforum (dot) net. It's a wonderful forum full of knowledgeable people. Sixties Continentals make up 60% of the threads.

  • @junieclay The Lincoln that gets crushed is a 63 Lincoln.

  • While it's sad to see this car get crushed, I do know they were a dime a dozen back in the day. Plus how awesome was that old car crusher? Why can't new crusher show that level of carnage or be that violent?

  • so thats what happened to Jimmy Hoffa...

  • why?

  • heartwrenching

  • bit sick isn't it that a body was supposedly in the car?

  • i've got some photos with a Lincoln Continental like this...

    this is so sad...

  • wtf, why?

  • i like how they put it in the back of the other pickup and drive away...thats only a 5000 pound cube of steel...it hardly sinks...lol

  • @crankwalk - yes thats what happened, some of the parts from that car were still around in the early 80's...i think a window motor from it even ended up in my Continental convertible

  • WORKED AT HOLLYWOOD LINCOLN MERCURY IN HOLLYWOOD FL, WHERE THE FILM COMPANY BOUGHT BOTH OF THESE LINCOLNS. THE 63 WAS A USED ONE YEAR OLD CAR TRADED BY A LOCAL DOCTOR.THE USED CAR DEPARTMENT SENT THE 63 INTO OUR SHOP AND IT WAS COMPLETELY GUTTED FOR THE CRUSH SCENE. TECHS WERE INVITED TO THE "CRUSH" FILMING. THE ORIGINAL SCENE WAS SHOT AND THE CRUSHED 63 FLATTENED THE RANCHERO, AND THEY HURRIDLY WENT TO HOLLYWOOD FORD AND BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE, CUT THE REMAINS OF THE 63 IN 1/2 THEN RESHOT

  • @PUGMOHON Thanks for sharing that info!

  • @PUGMOHON

So after crushing the 63, they cut the actual cube in 1/2 and thats whats in the back of the Rachero?

  • @PUGMOHON Interesting, was the Ranchero crush right then? What yard was this?

  • Squish!

  • how to load a lincoln on a ranchero

  • NO ENGINE AT:34.....NO BODY EITHER,HE'D BE ALL LEAKIN'OUT,IRONIC HOW THIS WAS DONE SO SOON AFTER JFK ASSASINATION,IM TOLD THAT THE 63 HE WAS SHOT IN WAS CRUSHED ;58 MINUTES AFTER THE SHOTS FIRED,/???WAS THERE AN ORDINANCE IN DASH?

  • @pattycat100567 nope never crushed......re inforced and revamped for other Presidents to use.....in the Ford Museum now......kinda creepy to think you are in a Car that JFK was killed in,and you are the next Pres. to use it?....me thinks they should have taken it to the Museum and leave it the way it was.(obviously cleaned up though)....as a reminder.....not the revamped one in the Museum now, hardly looks the same. or it`s a Copy? who really knows.... only the FBI knows for sure.

  • @pattycat100567 Very well spotted on the no engine at 0:34! I'm glad there wasn't actually a body in the trunk though. Very glad indeed.

  • @Jarren202

There was a body - slumped over in the back seat having been shot by Oddjob. The trunk was filled with gold bullion belonging to the dead man.

Oddjob then returns the crushed car to the villain Auric Goldfinger who upon seeing the arrival of the crushed car comments:

"Forgive me, Mr Bond, but I must arrange to separate my gold from the late Mr Solo. As you said, he had a pressing engagement.."

  • James Bond was in the trunk, of course Q made him body armor, so he was not hurt. He later cut himself out with a compact torch. Of course there is no engine or transmission, this is a tin bailer not a car crusher. These do not have the power to crush a frame or engine into a cube. An empty shell will crush like this. These machines are for tin and appliances, not cars.

  • Wasn't their a dead guy in the trunk? It's been years since I saw the movie, probably over 30 years ago. The Lincoln was pretty new when it was crushed.

  • @Smiley6669 Dead guy in the back seat

  • A crushed '63 Lincoln would have been a heavy load to put in the back of a Falcon Ranchero. If the whole car was in there it would have burst the tires. Both of the Lincolns and the Falcon would be great cars to have today.

  • i hate chinees ppl now

  • @67bigredsled i to hav a totally original 67 continental sedan with 57,000 miles on it that was used in a movie in new jersey. everything is original and the interior is mint, the exterior is pretty good. the only bad thing is that it doesnt run. when i watched this i was disgusted

  • they took the engine out.....

  • @James198779 yea, i figured that too, you csn kinda tell when it passes infront of the camera...

  • As the proud owner of a totally original 1967 sedan with only 46,000 original miles I am sick watching this great Lincoln being crushed. But back then it was just another car-uuugh

  • The driving car is a '64, the crushed car is a '63. Note the different roof line.

  • @reijerlincoln You are right. The crushed car is a '63. When the new Continental came out in '61 it had curved side glass (like all cars have today). It marked one of the first uses of curved side glass in auto industry (the very first American production car to use that feature was the '57 Imperial). In '64 they made the Continental longer and decided to use straight glass as it gave more headroom. They did the same thing with the T-bird of '64!

  • Whether it had a motor & tranny in it or not, it was still a brand new Lincoln in '64.

And it makes me cringe just looking at the video, but I would like to really thank any persons who still own and restore these beautiful and tasteful American automobiles, If I had the means and the funds you could pretty much guess what would be in my garage.....climate controlled of course!!

  • @lalvarado63 I restore these cars

  • What a waste of a beautiful, elegant and low production car. They should have crushed a stupid Volswagen beetle instead!

  • Pause at 0:11. Then pause again at 0:23.

Does anyone else see the difference?

  • @ClassicLincolns There were two different cars.

  • Did they really crush this beautiful car? If I could go back in time I would slap the producers face.

  • @lalvarado63 I will go with you.

  • @lalvarado63 I will go with you.

  • Terrible... I can't watch it anymore

  • it is so terrible!!!!!!!!

  • the one that went in the crusher had different hubcaps than the one that he originally drove in, and you can see daylight thru the grill where like beerwagon said no trans or motor

  • @dmx011 and notice when the car is being picked up..the driver side door handles are on it..but when they throw it in the crusher..walla..there are no door handles on it ????

  • did you notice the engine and transmission was out of the car

  • Mr. Oddjob.

  • So, so sad. to see one of Henry Fords Finest ladies destroyed. Despite It's such an awsome movie.

  • haha its out of a bond film haha i forgot which 1 tho can any 1 help haha

  • Goldfinger (1964)
