It has 3.5 mm jack yes. All smarthphones from 2010-2011 should have it...if not, not worth buying. Not all have HDMI connector though, this one has and it's a big plus.

Guys I need help. When you are viewing emails, how can you tell if you've replied to one?!! Every other phone shows an arrow portraying that the email has been replied to, but not the arc!! @sithu04 my jeans pocket isn't exactly the size of my arc, so it fits comfortably. according to me the camera has worked much better than the iPhone 4's Camera. You can view it from any angle when you pump up the brightness.

I don't like how it's so closed-sourced compared to Android and the way Apple dictates everything. also there's only one iPhone just different versions whereas with Android there's such a vast selection of devices ranging in pricing, shapes, brands, etc. I have a HTC Desire and the jack is at the top like on most phones. Facetime only works on wifi not 3G. Android is fully customisable. There are advantages and disadvantages.

There was news came out paid android apps suffered bcuz of open system. Apple closed system helps for apps. I myself hate using itunes for tunes transfer but the rest apple is best

@sithu04 Yeah but you can't use Facetime on 3G. Yeah but Skype video will be available for new phones with a front facing camera like the new HTC Desire S soon. There are now lots a great apps also for Android which is going from strength to strength besides most of the apps in the app store are junk. I like with Android phones, it uses an SD card that mounts as a disk so you can transfer anything from anywhere onto your phone! :) It's all about preference I suppose. :)

before buying an xperia arc you should know that is the worst wifi connectivity experience. it allways work for couple of minutes and then is dead. network error problem. update and reinstall does not solve the problem.

i have this phone and compared it to my friends iphone first off the arc is not laggy second the xperia arc's camera is noticably better than the iphone and in low light is way better doesnt have a front camera the android store is ok nt as gd as the iphone store but do realise the app store has been around much longer both phones are excellent phones if your wanting a gd all round phone and dont care about apps on your phone go for the xperia but if ur wanting one for apps ect get the iphone
