Thank you very much for this and your other Youtube posts. I noticed on your website you prefer Ray Ruessner guitars. I concur. For years I searched to replace a Hauser I mistakenly sold. Finally a couple years ago I found one of Ray's early guitars & immediately I knew the search had ended. It was perfectly balanced, and articulate in every register without booming basses or muddy mids. I appreciate your performances & salute your lifetime of dedication to music.
maybe it's the same person but if it is that I think if this gentleman had the good fortune to take one to the very Andres Segovia masterclasses, so for that alone deserves all my admiration and not as interpreted in my see if there is something magnificent in the teacher would not forget Andrew has been one of the best dl world to accept him as a student
Bravo Richard ! This challenging piece is attempted by very few and your interpretation is superb. Your recent release of the " electric" version of your composition the Promise demonstrates how versatile you are! You can do it all !
That guitar sounds awesome. Very nice attack. Nice sharp transients. Maybe a bit too bright for some people but it sound to me like the tone is very well balanced. I bet it would sound even better with a better recording.
After so many failed attempts to learn this piece, I gave up. Hearing it again make me want to give it another go. My fingers hurt already and I'm just thinking about it.
Thank you! This is the very guitar that my friend Ray Reussner built and used for his DVD called "Sound of the Guitar." Of course, those recordings are much better. There are many of those tracks here on YouTube.
@richardjohnsonmusic Thank you mister Johnson for your amazing interpretation. Very beautiful work. I´d like to know about the origin of your guitar. Is it a Hauser? There is a person in my country (Brazil), his name is Armildo Uzeda, who is also a great interpreter of Bach. He is also a teacher at Villa Lobos school in Rio de Janeiro. When you have time look for this at youtube. Thank you again, best wishes.
