To clarify and expand, let's take abortion. I am a democrat who would never choose to have an abortion no matter what my circumstances. However, I do not believe it is the government's place to outlaw a woman's right to choose. I especially have problems concerning the government involving themselves in peoples medical decisions. That is best left up to the doctor and patient. But Obama is a socialist? Because he wants universal health care? God forbid abortion be included.

I fail to see how those ideologies would be part of a racist worldview. Furthermore, people who adhere to such ideologies would certainly not be pleased with Obama, or Bush for that matter. But then, most liberals aren't liberal and most conservatives aren't conservative.
The problem with your previous video is that conservatism, like liberalism, represents a very broad range of philosophies. To clarify and expand, let's take abortion. I am a democrat who would never choose to have an abortion no matter what my circumstances. However, I do not believe it is the government's place to outlaw a woman's right to choose. I especially have problems concerning the government involving themselves in peoples medical decisions. That is best left up to the doctor and patient. But Obama is a socialist? Because he wants universal health care? God forbid abortion be included.

There is a proven correlation between higher amounts of relative equality in terms of pay and higher amounts of economic mobility. Capitalism however has high amounts of inequality and very low amounts of economic mobility, and even then its luck based. Capitalism runs off of job insecurity, and when someone owns the means of production, they control job security.

This means that for society to function and retain any sense of unity and humanity the individual should at least be given a level of living. This means that the suburban student, whom is already weighted as a stronger student because of the better utility of public schools in their region, has an easier time doing well because they do not have to deal with the problems of poverty.Had you been the son of big money your "performance" can be bought.

My mother died giving birth to my sister. The doctors advised her to abort. My sister has 4 kids now. My mother knew what it meant to lay down her life for another and despite the fact that I lost her at age 6, I respect the choice she made.

I did not ignore it, it is just that I was in agreement with that statement. Sometimes we are left with 2 choices that lead to pain. That is when the decision has to be made not to avoid pain but to do the right thing. Sometimes doing the right thing is not in our own self interest. If there were only a handful of abortions since it was legalized then I would feel much differently about it. But 50 million? That is not acceptable.

Sure, there are people that don't like Blacks, there are blacks that don't like whites, don't like mexicans, etc. Everyone likes their own race. As it currently stands, the Republican party, and indeed, many self-styled conservatives, play lip service to the concepts of smaller government, individualism, and true free market capitalism. I fail to see how those ideologies would be part of a racist worldview. Furthermore, people who adhere to such ideologies would certainly not be pleased with Obama, or Bush for that matter. But then, most liberals aren't liberal and most conservatives aren't conservative.

The problem with your previous video is that conservatism, like liberalism, represents a very broad range of philosophies. You have pidgeon-holed the concept of concervatism into a very narrow, and stereotypical view. However, that's what "they" want. There are certainly people out there that can fit into your oversimplified view, but that cannot be said of all self-identified conservatives.

I think the current economic conditions, particularly as seen in Europe, are fairly good indications of this. A successful economy with a strong middle class cannot thrive in a welfare state. Also, to be clear, I'm not referring specifically to welfare itself. There are many things that make up a welfare state.

They are regressive because they decrease rather than increase. I know the 2-party system isn't great, but I switched from 3rd party to major party in the last election because of the real differences. I question the current surge in the anti-2-party line because I feel that it often represents a hidden agenda.
