  • O D ODODODODODODODO

  • @Basco36 What type of acid can dissolve concrete quickly?

  • The Fabric made 5 acounts to dislike his video so he got melted

  • why dosent it eat through the plastic container?

  • @mosspaw1229 the acid does not react that way with the plastic container, and it if it did, it would not be that immediate. it also depends on the concentration.

  • will it hurt if i put this on my penis?

  • In the face, religious people!

  • cooooooooooooool

  • *During video* I'm not seeing anything spectac- OH MY GOD I HAVE BEEN AMAZED BY SCIENCE... o_0

  • SAW VI

  • i see when sulfuric acid corrode something, there always smoke comes out. i wonder if the smoke is toxic

  • @rax7 yes it is

  • cool but.. is this the most corrosive acid we know of? anyone know the most corrosive? is there one that can eat away at metal?

  • @Brady2k10 trifluoromethanesulfonic acid (Its a magic acid that can disolve almost anything.) Search it up!

  • Fill a beer bottle with it

    leave it in the street

  • Comment removed

  • Dump a few bottles of that on George W.Bush!!!!the fuckin crazy guy!!

  • @MrADZY20 not as crazy as the freakin retarded presedent we have now...

  • Dump a few bottles of that on George W.Bush...

  • holy crap it kinda looked like a skull at 0:21 o.o haha

  • what happens if i throw this acid at someone's arm?

  • i had 43% purity of this stuff and put it in a oral medicine syringe and dumped a shitload on the bottom of this guys backpack because he was being a bitch to my friend.

  • ok this happend to my jeans when a girl throwed the bottle away with somthing inside it :Ddamn what a bitch

  • sulphuric is bad shit but doesent get near hydroflouric acid, you dont know you have it on you till your skin itches which is then too late because it also eats through bone which then means amputation.....no bull....

  • i wonder what would happen if i poured that on some ones face?

  • You guys wanna know one crazy fact? Fluorantimoniac Acid is 20 Quintillion times stronger than 100% pure sulfuric acid. Or 2x10^19.

In other words super dangerous D:

    And no its not bullshit.

  • Acids of any kind? Damn, I never thought I had to use protection when eating oranges.

  • were can i get some of that

  • Does it smell?

  • @spunkykite All acid gives of gas. so It can and poisonous

  • at 0:40 I was like, big fucking deal... at 0:50, holy shit

  • I had a wierd dream about this liquidising some food orange/banana

  • Chuck Norris' spit

  • I use that as Eye Drops! Next time I eat hidrofluoric acid!

  • this is what happens when chucknorris spits

  • I LOVE CHEMISTRY!

  • it's like.. molecular acid.

  • meh the acid on "alien" the film is much better i dont rate this... *hmph!*

  • imagine what the Fluoroantimonic acid could do

20 quintillion times stronger than sulfuric acid

  • @crisalis12345

well, your partially right. It all depends on the concentration. Ofcourse fluoroantimonic acid is much stronger in the same concentration as sulfuric acid but well, availability is a problem :)

  • Put a drop of this on justin bieber's pituitary gland

  • fat ass jerk

  • cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • And to think, they weaponised this sort of thing during the first world war...

  • is it speed up or on it's normal speed?

  • howly shait

  • you burned fabric with a liquid (because sulfuric acid is so acidic) I LOVE SUGER SNAKES

  • evilichigo.......u bloody crap..!how dare u to say that..?

  • Wow, I need some of that! :X

  • Thank you for this. It was very helpful explaining to my 7-year-old what happened to the Joker in BATMAN.

  • does the acid actually destroy the matter of the fabric or does the reaction cause the fabric's matter to change into the liquid residue left behind?

  • @Monkayskillz well by destroy are you referring to the material breaking down into component atoms? The acid merely donates protons which cause the material to react and rearrange. In this case the chains of the material are breaking so no longer form a sheet.

  • That stuff was thrown on Katie Piper's face, l'm surprised it never rotten away her facial bones the way it has dissolved that fabric!

  • my hand would like this

  • 1. secretly put some sulfuric acid on nipple area of girls shirt

    2. sit back and relax

    3. ???

    4. profit

  • :'(

  • FUCKIN' ACID! HOW DOES THAT WORK?

  • @JonathanClement140 HAHAHAHA ICP sucks

  • i didn't realise it was doing anything at first, i thought it was just damp. fuck me

  • great. i have to work with stuff for tommorow's chem lab

  • What type of fabric is that? Some fabrics dissolve much more easily from acids compared to others.

  • can i lick it? :p

  • Dump a few bottles of that on bieber...

  • @stickmanpwner64 btw why dous every one hte justin bieber yes i hate disny more than anything but why?

  • @stickmanpwner64 dump a few gallons of that stuff

  • @stickmanpwner64 Ok, honestly, why is it suddenly ok to bully someone if they're famous? Keep your mind on the video -- you're not automatically funny if you don't like Bieber.

  • @stickmanpwner64 ,If pouring a few bottles of sulfuric acid on justin bieber will put an end to these annoying ass BIEBER jokes, than they have my full support XD

  • @stickmanpwner64 20 bottles of it on his pussy

  • @stickmanpwner64 better still, throw him in a pool of acid

  • @stickmanpwner64

Even chemistry vids aren't immune to Bieber comments. Fucking sad.

  • @stickmanpwner64 cool, a video that has nothing to do with Justin Bieber has yet another annoying comment about him. way to go.

  • @stickmanpwner64 forget about afew bottles, get a death pool for him! LOL

  • Now I know what to do with the dead hookers! :D

  • EAT IT!

  • They put that crap in cocaine.

  • @visionimagify

    That's an urban legend

  • @mewrox99 Bull, It's true. You're an idiot and an urban legend.

  • @visionimagify

I'm not saying it isn't used to make cocaine, but it is rarely found in the final product.

  • @visionimagify shut ur cunt. You have no clue of what you are talking about. Go choke on a dick dipshit.

  • @visionimagify They use it to extract cocaine.. they also use diesel.. But it's to EXTRACT.. which means in theory the product should contain no traces of "that crap".. but there will always be traces of it, and there is probably a lot of cheap not-purified cocaine out there which probably contains more crap.

  • this was in a saw movie

  • now try putting Carborane on that shit. it'll melt straight through that fabric, then the glass, then the ground lol.

  • what do people use to contain it than

  • @blurock29 polymers... some types of plastics, not all

  • @blurock29 Plastic

  • Nice demonstration

  • Kirby sulfuric acid powers

  • hey nice video u should test it on a pig meat to see the results on that !!!!!!

  • well it itself aint corrosive its not eating acid its suck all the water out and crack acid

  • ALIENS lol

  • I dropped sulfuric acid in pennies and the pennies were turned into blue/ green slush , crazy shit

  • @99waterlife

You sure it was sulfuric acid? From what I've heard copper is resistant to sulfuric acid, which, if true, would suggest either that the copper pennies were of the copper-coating-with-zinc-insides variety (and had a scrape/dent in the coating big enough to let the sulfuric acid get at the zinc) or that you were using another acid, like nitric acid. (For which turning pennies into blue/green slush would have made sense)

  • @neoYTPism yes I think I did it was labeled H2S04

  • @99waterlife

That's strange, according to NurdRage only nitric acid can dissolve copper. I'd guess there was some gap in the copper coating, and that through this gap the sulfuric acid got at the zinc...

  • @neoYTPism Although it is way easier to dissolve Copper in HNO3, it is possible to do so in H2SO4, but it needs to be 96% and brought to 200%.

    Reaction equation: Cu + H2SO4 -> SO2 + CuSO4 + 2 H2O

This reaction is useful to produce dehydrated Cu-sulfate and sulfur dioxide.

  • "but it needs to be 96% and brought to 200%." - Peterditaa

What do you mean? I thought 100% meant pure, how could something have a higher concentration than that?

Also, the reaction equation isn't balanced. o.o

  • @neoYTPism my mistake. i wrote a percent sign, i wanted to make the ° degree sign. it requires a very high temperature to start.

  • @Peterditaa Only nitric acid, aqua regia and most superacids and dissolve copper, sulphuric acid cant, it can however dissolve copper (II) Oxide

  • @sftf1 nitric acid has oxidizing properties thats why it an dissolve copper. Sulfuric acid evolves oxidizing properties when heated to about 200°C. This only works with 96% acid, it needs to be concentrated, otherwise the acid is impossible to heat that high.

If you dont believe me, try it out. if your not stupid, its easy to get hands on chemicals in the US.

  • @Peterditaa Who said I'm in the US? Anyway, getting acid that concentrated and just putting it onto a Bunsen burner doesn't sound like a good idea? And anyway, whats up with the rage? I just stated a few facts.

  • @sftf1 noone said so. Im sorry, its just the intension, that if a comment is stupid, it might be from the US (dont take that to serious, americans). There is nothing dangerous about putting any kind of acid into a testtube, adding some copper metal and heating with a bunsenburner! Its not true that ONLY nitric and a few superacids can dissolve copper, H2SO4 does, if ur too lazy to check what i said, i cant help u.

  • @Peterditaa Whats your problem?

  • NOM NOM NOM

  • That happens if your drying clothes near batteries that use sulfuric acid, the clothes get small holes.

  • ill get a shot of that XD

  • give em a proper drop

  • wow--thanks for adding that crap to the already dangerously toxic air we breatrhe, asshole--hope you get some on you and die

  • guys trust me drink this it tastes really nice also its a good anal bleaching agent so yeah

  • @ihavekankles If you drink stuff like that we'll be seeing you in the darwin awards quite soon.

  • Funny thing is that the 'protective' things you're wearing, will easily be eaten away from the Acid...

  • well the idea is that you would take off the "protective clothing" before the acid eats it's way through to your skin.....

  • WHAT? thats what i clean my pussy with!!

  • i killed 2 people put puttiing this on their nails and they were like "wtf?" and were so confused their brain exploded! ahh good times, good times.

  • um sulfuric acid is the only acid that realy burns through things people get the wrong idea of acid most bases burn more than acids

  • @2346

Incorrect buddy. The corrosive properties of strong acids like HCl and H2SO4 (and some weak acids) are just as great as those for strong bases like NaOH.

As well as H2SO4, HCl and HNO3 are just as corrosive and highly destructive to organic tissue.

  • @joshhardwick81 also HF is considerably more corrosive than most "strong acids" even though it is technically weak. the corrosive properties of a acid or base is generally independent of how much it dissociates.

  • @ginogrz That was kinda what I was trying to say. Didnt word it quite as well as you though! My main point was that its not right to say that bases are more corrosive than acids, or acids are more corrosive than bases, becuase that aint true!

  • it's melting melting oh what a world

  • LOL! Best boss ever!

  • at 0:20 it looks like a skull

  • wow, it does. And remember ...... ALWAYS WEAR PROTECTION, he never said what type so i guess condoms would work so you don't go blind!

  • ..yeah it does look like a skull....weird..

  • awesome video

  • damn reminds me of ebola

  • Comment removed

  • that was awsome watching sulfuric acid

  • he has lye in fight club its powder remember

  • I looked this up due to its constant refferences in "Fight Club"

  • DAYM NATURE! YOU SCARY!

  • family guy..lol you scary..lmao

  • @Overcastkid747 HAHA LOL

  • @Overcastkid747 or is it science

  • you irish?

  • wow your a genius. read what i wrote before you make asshole comments. whos the dick now? fuckhole.

  • He said hydrofluoric acid. I find it is best to read and understand a comment before making a stupid reply.

  • Explosive: Sounds like you learn the way I learn, have to read the advanced stuff so you can see how things are applied before the information is solid in your head. Learn more that way too :)

Glad to see so many others who understand chemistry and enjoy it!

  • Hazzy, not sure who you are talking to, but you are right that sulfuric won't kill you.. it does hurt like hell though. I work with thousands of liters of acids of various types on a daily basis and I have gotten sprinkled with sulfuric before... it isnt as much fun as you might think.

  • @capierce

its just battery acid right? people get that on themselves all of the time, it's not deadly.

  • @coolliger Battery acid is ~ 33%, ACS grade is 98% or better. Battery acid can certainly burn people it is 3x less powerful then ACS grade sulfuric acid.

As one who has gotten sulfuric droplets on himself, sulfuric immediately burns through the skin and it's extreme endothermic reaction with water (including the water in people) results in radiating burns. Imagine the damage that a pot of boiling water would do if poured over your arm... now multiply that and remove all your skin....

  • i bet that chemical has bad breath

  • gets used for assaults, eg. katie piper

  • woah thats like major OM NOM NOM

  • XD you made my day with that comment

  • Oh, and i deal with hundreds of liters of sulfuric acid a day, dangerous stuff but if you treat it with respect then you will be fine.

  • yeah my dad used to work at Intel and there would be huge ass tanks of sulfuric acid in the area where he worked, and he said the same thing. Just treat it with respect and know what you're doing and you're good.

  • First off, the most painful burns come from caustics not acids, acids don't penetrate well. Secondly, hydrofluoric acid penetrates very well as it has a low dissociation constant and it is NOT painful, that is one of the dangers... people don't know that they have it on them. You need calcium gluconate to neutralize it on the skin and serious medical treatment.. if you get any serious amount on you it will kill you even after the burn LOOKS treated. Nasty stuff.

  • Actually, I looked in my chemistry book, and at first it is painless, but after some time has passed, it fires you're nerves and causes excruciating pain.

  • @ExplosiveScience Not sure what your chemistry book says, few of the chemistry books you have at your age would mention hydrofluoric acids. That said, you are quite correct. Once the acid dissociates, which occurs later then all other acids that I know of, then the burn is very painful and may often be present where there is little sign of any damage. Particularly a problem with dilute solutions. Dangerous chemical. Conparing it to sulfuric acid, for example, shows how slow it is to cause pain.

  • I totally agree. Also, the chemistry book I use is one that is meant for college, not for my age, it is pretty helpful. When dealing with concentrated sulphuric acid, I find it helpful to just treat it as liquid fire, use thick neoprene gloves, cover everywhere on your body, and always have at least one box of baking soda ready. Strong acids are cool, useful, and scary chemicals, but as you said, they can be used safely if they are treated with respect.

  • damn! i felt nothing when i drop twice in my eyes!

  • boy i could have some fun with that stuff.

  • @kirbyman1kanden7pf It's really easy to get a hold of. I bought some of ebay a few months ago. 1 litre for £20

  • There goes your skin if you ever get it on you. Omg. That was great!

  • I didn't get a scar.

  • i got a drop of 95% concertrated sulfuric acid on me for only a few seconds before i washed it off but it still burned like hell

  • Really? Happened to me but I just washed it with some water and I didn't feel anything. My acid was 96,5%.

  • Yes i didnt think anything would happen but it left a scar on my hand

  • well if it does get on ur skin in is the most painful burn u can have since h2so4 gets red hot with water it takes the moisture out of ur skin. Tho strong nitric acid would stain ur skin and eat thru it as would hf go thru the skin and eat the calcium in ur bones.

  • The worst chemical burns are from strong bases because they are generally very soluble in water (thus they can penetrate deeper in your skin than acids). Furthermore, many of them (like NaOH) produce heat when they come in contact with water.

  • Actually, the most painful chemical burn you can possibly have, is that from hydrofluoric acid. I am not quite sure how, but I know it fires the nerves causing excruciating pain. It will also eat the calcium out of your bones so is just as bad with an added pain factor. If you don't believe me or want details you can look it up. I Would not want to get either on my skin however.

  • @ExplosiveScience; Not only is it excrutiating, a spill on any part of your body virtually means certain death. A guy at my mum work spilt a small amount on his arm, he died within a couple of minutes...

  • Good Lord, that's some powerful stuff!

  • Personally this scares the shit outta me lmao

  • you sould se nitric acid 0_0

  • I wonder how it tastes.

  • very sour. its an acid remember.

  • I actually doubt you will even taste a thing because the corroding aspect get's to the tongue just as fast as the taste.

Out of a reflex you would probably start to spit or barf.

  • It tastes like pain.

  • it tastes like licking a 9 volt battery.

  • I got 100% sulfuric and 75% Nitric acid mixed on my arm. It wasn't a fun day. I then tried to neutralise it with potassium hydroxide. Bad plan.

  • ...ok you get powerful acids on your arm(which im only assuming that you were making nitrocellulose nitroglycerin or tnt)... i would of gone for like 3 boxes of baking soda... im pretty sure that potassium hydroxide may be to powerful of a base... to but on your arm that is...

  • Yes NG. And, I was young and stupid, and hadn't taken chemistry yet. It was sodium hydroxide actually (not much difference I suppose), and indeed it was too powerful. So now, I have a lot of expensive protective gear. And a scar.

  • hey ! Don't lie Kid!

  • I wasn't lying, nor am I a kid...

  • what happended to your arm

  • It is hard to explain. Look up chemical burn in wikipedia and it is similar to the picture. After a while though it turned into an orangy scab.

  • I'M SO HARD RIGHT NOW

  • will this acid go trough metal?

  • depends on what metal you want to use.
