  • SoCalPreppers - I just realized something AMAZING. A few weeks ago, I was researching LED Lenser flashlights, & came across one of your video reviews for the P17, watched it, and went about my day. Now, weeks later, I happened to be looking for beef jerky recipes, & came across this video, & I knew I recognized the voice. I glanced through your uploads, & sure enough, it's you! I'm not a subscriber, & i didn't remember your name. Just random chance that I ran into you again. What are the odds?

  • @AllUrUtubeRbelong2me Im a pretty well rounded channel, flashlights and beef... with the occasional m4 rifle and ham radio review LOL..Oh and some gardening..

    thanks for watching !

  • THAT SARACHA SAUCE IS THE BOMB!

  • @paulgem123 I just tasted one molecule of the sriracha sauce and broke out into a sweat. So yeah, I'm a wimp.

  • @AllUrUtubeRbelong2me I love that stuff! LOL

  • Wow never thought of adding coke into my mix, it worked great! :)

  • i want to try urs frist before i make it

  • How many pounds of meat is that brother?

  • @Juice56107 9 and change I think...

  • Just wanted to let you know that I was inspired to make jerky for the first time about two weeks ago! I bought the Excalibur dehydrator this past spring and was a busy bee dehydrating all kinds of veggies. Now, thanks to you, jerky is on my list of accomplishments...and I've made it 3X's already. Everybody LOVES this recipe.

BTW... I didn't use the Coke, I used some pineapple juice for the acid... and maybe a bit more of the crushed pepper flakes... I like it HOT!

  • If you smoke em rather than dehydrate em, it is better

  • @wmarcus1203 yea I agree... just dont have a smoker... will look in to converting my bbq in to one....

  • you had me at SriRaCha! lol

  • @TheSheChef Some how I knew that might get your attention... have a good week she she... and tell the man, sup for me....

  • @socalpreppers thanks for the recipe home chicken, you have my addy when your done, lol:)

  • That looks great brother!

  • Looking good ..

  • using beer also will help to tenderize the meat...and the alcohol will burn off while dehydrating. Not to mention it adds really good flavor too. i also use it in my sloppy joes...YUMMYYY! =D

  • Tasty!

  • @PopPrepper yea... I got my hopes up... looking forward to the end result.

  • Memorial day weekend? LOL...

  • @mountainprepper21 LOL... yea Im about 3 months late to the party huh... Ooops.....

  • Looks good. Hope you do a follow up on it when it is done.

  • @Buckrun11 Sure why not....

  • This looks like an awesome recipe Socal, I love that asian hot sauce too. Never would have thought to put it in jerky though.

  • @whimberly1 I love that flavor for jerky, its my favorite hands down. thanks for watching dear....

  • Looks like a really hot one. Just right for me :) Thanks for the recipe.

  • Charmin needs to make an asbestos line. With aloe, extra soft. Keep refrigerated. YIKES!

  • @ndcouey70 LMAO....

  • Looks like it'll be GOOD! Have you had any Jerky from "Meadow Farms - Mahogany Smoked Meats" in Bishop? Their Elk Jerky is the best!!

  • Not a fan of soda, Especially soda with Aspartame. I wonder if Citric acid (Lemon Juice) Would work in place of the Coke.

  • Can't wait till it is done...lol Looks good bro. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

  • @EastCoastPrepper Hey, hope you get some use out of it, if your interested anyway. hope your having a good weekend and thanks for doing all that you do for SR2012!

  • Labor Day maybe?

    Good eats man!!

  • Looks good, I have been looking for a good recipe for jerky. Just got a dehydrator a few weeks ago and love it. Going to do the jerky this week, thanks for sharing.

  • Looks good, spicy. Probably get some serious sting ring the next day.

  • 2 dislikes? PETA must have dropped by.

Good job SoCal thats much like mine. I use Dr Pepper though. As long as it has the acid thats good. For that amount of meat I also use one quarter teaspoon Adolphs meat tenderizer as its just more enzyme to make the meat tender. Don't use more!

  • looks great. i think you and on the other preppers that make beef jerky should have a jerky off and see who makes the best jerky.send me all samples and ill let you know who the winner is.jk.LOL

  • @starlordish i will never attend or participate in a jerk off LMAO.... that was funny bro... IM only sorry it too 3 jerky videos to get us there LOL... thanks for the complements

  • @starlordish Grea idea! I think this jerky off needs a panel of judges. Of course I would be more than willing to offer my services, it would be a real sacrifice on my part but I'm willing to take one for the team lmao.

  • That looks like it's gonna be really good!! Thanks for sharing the recipe...:)

  • whats your job

  • @SuperOatmealbear Its nice here... aside from all the ass hats and libtards....

  • btw that seems like it would be hot as hell and really REALLY good (the diet coke does not sound good tho)

  • @emerybryant you cant even taste it, Im only using it for the acid factor.... honestly with all the other suff in there, you cant taste it at all.
