I was watching this video again and I noticed this track looks very rough. Is it as bad as it looks through the camera? I'm thinking about running the upcoming Chin event there.
Chin events attract a lot of awesome rides. The video shows a 911 turbo, Viper SRT-10 and yes a Ford GT (Ford's remake of the GT40). The C6 is actually a Z06. Other cool rides at the event were race Ferraris, a Lambo Gallardo, even a 1000hp Bugatti Veyron. If you get a chance, you should attend one of their events.
The tires are definitely a step up from your average street tire, but I do drive to and from events on them and they do double duty well for both street and track use. They have 8 track days, a few autocrosses, and a few thousand street miles. I think I can get another 4-6 track days out of them too. They are definitely a good HPDE tire.
Nice driving man! good line. The Porsche gave a pretty good run but they all recognized you as ultimately faster. I'm only half way through the recording....wow...now I'll continue. Thanks for sharing! I have an 02 coupe.
The Z06 is a fine machine no matter what all the europeans and Japanese say!

cxavier68-- can u see a significant handling difference with just the front sway bar? and did you adjust it at all or just put it on?

It has rough patches here and there. Gators are kind of high also. Turn 17 can be very rough, but the stock Z06 suspension soaks it up well.
