This has always been my argument. Why have we got to be subjected to this endless sensationalism via the media? Marci Bowers is a Dr, a surgeon. Why has the transssexual angle got to be pushed to the fore? I am a web designer, server specialist and database consultant and meet everyday people all the time, but I'd hate my 'post op transsexual' status to be brough to the fore everytime. I'm surprised Bowers needs this dodgy form of publicity.

This promo SUCKS! Sensationalism. Dr Bowers was NEVER a man. She was born with a female brain in a male body. Show some RESPECT. And that line about "Is Trinidad, Colorado ready?" is so over the top. Surgeries have been being done in Trinidad for about 40 YEARS! Why don't you just stick to the TRUTH? Explain the scientific FACTS behind transsexualism and how hard life is for transsexual people until they transition. Can you do that? I thought your channel was about being educational.

I had at birth a slight hole below the sack and I have a female brain, though I am not a hermaphrodite I am Bi-Gender to female in transition, she could have been all male physically and had a female brain, she still had the procedure done if you considered her male or female before that based on her brain is another story and would be not all to far from truth.

There has been discovered that there is a range of combination's of Bi-Gender all the way up to being a Hermaphrodite, we now know that there isn't just Male and Female sex though it is most common, there is work being done to add Bi-gender to the "sex list" in the USA at the federal level, as well as well as cool things in science that will prove being Gay isn't a choice (for most), not directly related but just throwing some cool things out there for the know.

A female brain in a male body? Really!? Get you facts sraight there is no such thing as a female or male brain. The difference between a male an a female is in there reproductive system and hormones. The hormones make up the characteristics of a male or female. (such as rough skin on a male's face or soft skin on the female's face) and the hopefully I do not have to explain the reproductive system.

@mtfradgal I Have Great respect for Dr Marcie Bowers, The before and after on the promo was probably necessary for her to have her good work publicised. I'm sure she would not have wanted that. You tube is full of before and after and people talking about things they have little or indeed no knowledge of and only increases confusion of the Gender Issues

I am a former patient of Dr Bowers. She is one of the best surgeons doing the surgery today. Trinidad Colorado has been known as "The sex change capital of the world " since Dr Bowers mentor and predecessor Dr Stanley Biber did his first proceedure there in 1969. Dr Biber did some 5000 to 8000 surgeries and Dr Bowers has done around 600 so far. Dr Bowers took over for Dr Biber in 2003 or 2004.
