@myth1c Well, obviously he believes in the Government's role protecting our Liberties. As he explains later in the video, a truly prosperous society wouldn't need to provide Healthcare as a right.
I do believe he's spoken about Insurance Companies, they are rip offs, as are most Medical Providers and Pharmaceutical companies. Just search, "Ron Paul on Healthcare" and there's plenty.

@86ortega if the DEA is discriminating against minorities, that's a separate issue that should be dealt with. but to want to abolish the entire war on drugs is stupid. and if you think ron paul isn't racist then let me ask you, how come he's against birth-right citizenship? why hasn't he said anything about promoting equal housing, employment, or education for minorities? and most importantly why did he not vote to renew the Civil Rights Act of 1964?!

@pdaniels9000 Because equal housing, education, healthcare are not rights. It's called a welfare state when you expect the government to provide this. The government wanted everyone to own a home and pushed subprime loans to everyone that were destroyed when the economy was manipulated down. The war on drugs is idiotic its only getting worse and it doesnt work. It puts young Americans in the prison system that cost taxpayers billions into the hands of corporations.

The free market economy will take care of these needs not government meddling. The government involved itself in equal housing and now we call that the projects. Great work if you ask me. i understand the inefficiencies of the prison-industrial complex and many of the American drug laws, but it is no excuse for repealing all of the drug laws (that's ridiculous).
i also know what ron paul's take on the Civil Rights Act is and i think that it's totally misguided and based on delusion.

You can't control them from themselves as you see it doesn't work. Legalize it, tax it, and wipe out the underground economy. Violence and crime will significantly decline and destry the cartels multi billion dollar profits to nothing. The USA is the largest drug consumer on the planet. This won't happen because prisons are multibillion dollar industries

i agree with legalizing and regulating drugs like marijuana, LSD, mushrooms, or DMT. but my concern is with harder drugs like heroin, cocaine, or methamphetamine. i don't think that legalizing these drugs would do any good for the economy or society.

equal education and employment are also products that are statistically much less accessible for african americans in the free market.

Well you are aware that alot of Africans came to America on their own free will due to civil wars of tribes in AFrica during that time. Yes, some were abducted, but not all slaves were treated unfairly either. Slaves in America had a better life than free people in Africa. Slavery is bad and I agree with Abe and am happy that it ended as we are all God's people, but like I said not all slaves were treated unfairly and not all were adbucted against their free will.

Slaves are never treated fairly that is reason why Slaves are not regarded as humans but a property of owner(s).
Slavery is an imprisonment and prisoners never have better life or happy life anywhere in the world.

Yes their were some slave owners that were a-holes, but some were good people that gave their slaves a better life. I don't admire the fact that we had slave owners, just the fact that a few of them were good people. It was radicals like the KKK that gave slavery a bad image overall.
