I want the lyric version back! and for whoever said the visuals didn't match up, ummm they had the pics of characters show up back then too. It was more of an arieal view and drawn, tech changes, but most long time fans do perfer the version with the lyrics no matter who's singing, although I have to say not a fan of Snoop's version.

I have to differ im sorry, I think actually think the song matches up quite well with the images. Listen to the tune and each individual beat as the images change to another character. If you do that carefully you will see it matches up very nicely i think.

@daf51 ABCSoapFan88 does the audio syncing himself so there is probably a slight inaccuracy in how well the video/audio sync here represents the one of the actual broadcast. Maybe the real one is what people were complaining about.

Someone else posted the other versions (the audio). I think this is the only one with the singing really in tune.

If they were to use this for real, they'd have to spend some more time on the music. The power of the original is lost in this version which, I assume, was probably done very quickly. Definitely the visuals are completely wrong for this type of song.

I understand they took away the people that are off the show. But why Shane? He's gone? Is that true, or am I just not looking hard enough. What happened to the actor that plays him?

@daf51 He was dropped to recurring. Only contracted cast members appear in the opening.

I head all the versions and the DePaiva and Lawson versions are the best. They should use them as the real theme with a GH-esque update.

Kassie DePaiva's an amazing singer, I like this! Monday, Jason Tam and Brittany Underwood do the theme, then Mark Lawson does it Tuesday. Also, seeing as they basically combined the two openings and took out everyone who left recently, I wonder if this video will still be used after the musical episodes...

Apart from the the fact that the actual images don't match the music I love what they've done with the old theme song - they should DEFINITELY reinstate it and then change the opening images to work with it (they're looking pretty tired now anyway) if the show is going through a creative change as they have said before then it's time to change the opening too surely?
