I bought this album when it was released (I'm not after any applause for being aged!) and saw Steel Pulse in 1978, again in the 80s and last time in 1991 at the Paradiso in Amsterdam - this remains the best gig I've ever seen. I hope to see them again one day...
I remember when i first heard this song i started to get into understanding Rastafarianism from living with a rastafarian. But the day came when views of the religion and way of life became Jaded when i saw my good friend eating a stake HaHa,who in fact was a Rastafarian.
@HJVJHL Because it's great, eh? For more justice, how 'bout we share natural resource wealth equally. Air and water belong to all. When industries put pollution or take natural resources, make them pay a fee. Money to the people as compensation for damage done or value taken.

check my playlists this isnt my usual genre but omg this brings back some brilliant memories and steel pulse will always have a special place in my heart. Steel Pulse should be brought into the national curriculum in music appreciation, my teacher allowed it in 199o and enjoyed it so why not :)
Great band and from Birmingham -my band Drongos for Europe used to play gigs with a fantastic band called African Star also from Brum /Handsworth -our city was second to none back then - Unity really meant something to us
@dekdrongo1 I live in Dublin now m8, but I seen Drongos for Europe in Sutton College when I was about 14/15 I'm fucking 44 now, jesus seeing this and reading your reply brought back good memories :o)
Good music from times that were BAD, fuckin Thatcher and her Gestapo police, Brixton riots and all that, still out of adversity comes great inspirational expression.
Although I have always been into my punk and hardcore, There has always been a huge place in my heart for Steel Pulse. There are just no bands out there in this day and age of such calibre. Long live Steel Pulse :)
