NICE SOUND!! i wanna do this to my 01 z24 but what all do i need to replace? jsut the rear muffler or the one up front, both? Some help would be nice.. thanks =) and that is a nice tip
I got this one, Flowmaster 952546. That has an offset inlet, and a regular center outlet. I'm not sure which style you would need for your 89 but just take a look and what your stock one looks like. Then go to Summit or Jegs website and search for flowmaster delta 40.
That's awesome. I used to have a 92 Z24 that exact color. I sold it back in 2001 and saw it a few years later in the same shape I sold it. I actually had a dual exhaust setup with a single in / dual out Flowmaster with 3" tails and sounded amazing. I used to hang around the Z24 boards online as well and met a few of the guys in Sanford NC and here in Orlando FL.
ahhh.. i like alot! =) whats it tdo 0-60 in? And the 1/4 mile? I dont have a z24.. just a 94 cavalier.. but i wanted to make it look real nice for my bday on the 20th... make a peice of shit into somthen nice.. kinda like this... so far got a K&N filter, exhuast and no cadaltytic converter has been removed, AND, its past admissions, 3 times!!! =D.. Any other ideas!?
i had those on a firebird with the same engine and they sound good idling and when your first takin off but one you really get on it and let off they just sound like butt
which 40 series is yours exactly any clue i got a 94 z24 i wanna dual out with flowmasters just like yours it sounds great better than the rice burner shit.
Its not a cat-back from a company or anything. I have a 2"-2.5" expander pipe coming from the catalytic converter, then it hooks up to a flowmaster delta 40 muffler with a hooker 3" dual outlet tip. It cost around $300 to have installed and for the parts.
yea it does blow not knowing a welder =[ befiore my step dad welded my stainless steel tips on my car we went up to the local shop to price how much a weld would be... they wanted to carge 100 bucksfor the weld and i would of had to but their tips lol. only ended up paying 20 bucks instead=]
i have a 94 cavalier rs and i was thinking about putting a 40 delta series on it but i have stock 2' piping and do u think it will sound the same jw. o and its a 3.1 multi port FI
The muffler is a Flowmaster Delta 40. It is anywhere between $90-$120. You would have to remove your stock muffler and weld the new one in place. You will most likely need an extension pipe because the stock muffler is longer then the Flowmaster.
Sweeeeeet...I did that to my '94 Z-24. When they stopped making them with the 6, I lost interest. But that sound, that rumble from that 6 banger was awesome
I used to drive an 86 cavalier with the 2.0 liter 4 banger, and I cut the cat off and put a glasspack in its place and I also removed the stock muffler and put pipe in it's place. I have to say it was the coolest sounding four banger I ever heard, it would even cackle.
It's not from any company, I had a local exhaust shop make the piping to fit the muffler. The only things I bought from a store were the muffler and the tips, which I got from summit. My car is a 1993
hey, is ur cavalier a 3.1L V6 or a 2.8L V6? because if it is, than i can get the same mufflers as u. I'm driving a 89 6000 and if ur Z24 has the same engine, it'll work
Wow that sounds good, wondering if you might know if that would fit no a 01 Cavalier ? And how much it all would cost ?

kickass how much did that cost, i have same car and same color
astroid911 2 years ago
It cost a total of $330. $130 for the parts (muffler and hooker tips) and $200 for the exhaust shop to install them.
but you can save the $200 if you have your own welder and know how to cut and weld.

KayV375 4 years ago
