  • Wow that sounds good, wondering if you might know if that would fit no a 01 Cavalier ? And how much it all would cost ?

  • thats a pretty awesome and unique swap

  • is that a 4 cylinder

  • @joesicking24

nope check a few comments back.

  • @joesicking24 that is a v6 you can tell from the description and the way it sounds

  • @joesicking24 LOL youve gotta be kidding me.

  • @joesicking24 dude.. 4 cylinder won't sound like that

  • wow! im not usually one to like the sound of a 6 cyl with an exhaust, but this sounds good! it has a thoaty almost v8 sound even at higher rpms

  • NICE SOUND!! i wanna do this to my 01 z24 but what all do i need to replace? jsut the rear muffler or the one up front, both? Some help would be nice.. thanks =) and that is a nice tip

  • @Blacknightfan completely different cars.

  • sounds good

  • where did u get the cat back? And what kind is it?

    I might be getting a 92 z24 n i like the sound of this

  • where did u get the tip?

  • @fingerboardrider

    Summit racing

  • @sylvainandkelly

I got this one, Flowmaster 952546. That has an offset inlet, and a regular center outlet. I'm not sure which style you would need for your 89 but just take a look and what your stock one looks like. Then go to Summit or Jegs website and search for flowmaster delta 40.

  • A buddy of mine had a 40 series on his 94 Z24, it really does sound nice. Good Job.

  • sweet men

  • That's awesome. I used to have a 92 Z24 that exact color. I sold it back in 2001 and saw it a few years later in the same shape I sold it. I actually had a dual exhaust setup with a single in / dual out Flowmaster with 3" tails and sounded amazing. I used to hang around the Z24 boards online as well and met a few of the guys in Sanford NC and here in Orlando FL.

  • i ment the cadalytic converter HAS been removed. haha

  • ahhh.. i like alot! =) whats it tdo 0-60 in? And the 1/4 mile? I dont have a z24.. just a 94 cavalier.. but i wanted to make it look real nice for my bday on the 20th... make a peice of shit into somthen nice.. kinda like this... so far got a K&N filter, exhuast and no cadaltytic converter has been removed, AND, its past admissions, 3 times!!! =D.. Any other ideas!?

  • Do u know what size exhaust is on stock 97 cavy? ???

  • i had those on a firebird with the same engine and they sound good idling and when your first takin off but one you really get on it and let off they just sound like butt

  • which 40 series is yours exactly any clue i got a 94 z24 i wanna dual out with flowmasters just like yours it sounds great better than the rice burner shit.

  • Hahah almost sounds like american muscle sure.

  • SFI is a newer fuel injection system (stands for Sequential Fuel Injection) than MPFI.

  • great sounding car. im hopin i can get my cav to sound something like that

  • wow now thats a mean sounding cavalier bro, how much did it cost? is it just cat back or muffler n tip?

  • Its not a cat-back from a company or anything. I have a 2"-2.5" expander pipe coming from the catalytic converter, then it hooks up to a flowmaster delta 40 muffler with a hooker 3" dual outlet tip. It cost around $300 to have installed and for the parts.

  • Does that tip have a resonator?

  • nope.

  • Sounds awesome man, love the tips!

  • Delta 40

  • sweet thta sounds good i will probaly be putting on one of those on my 92 rs v6

  • Do you race it you should it sounds tough!!!!

  • very rarely do I and when I do I don't bite off more then I can chew. Just because it sounds nice does not mean its a fast car haha.

  • kickass how much did that cost, i have same car and same color

  • It cost a total of $330. $130 for the parts (muffler and hooker tips) and $200 for the exhaust shop to install them.

but you can save the $200 if you have your own welder and know how to cut and weld.

  • yea it does blow not knowing a welder =[ befiore my step dad welded my stainless steel tips on my car we went up to the local shop to price how much a weld would be... they wanted to carge 100 bucksfor the weld and i would of had to but their tips lol. only ended up paying 20 bucks instead=]

  • sounds good, makes me miss my v6 z. Yours has the 3.1L correct? Looks like a 92+

  • yes it is, stock 3.1 its a '93

  • I KNOW I once saw that kid get $20 worth of food from McDonald's! great quote from family guy, love that one!

  • Is this with the stock cavalier z24 engine?

  • A stock second gen engine, yes.

  • sound exactly as a lumina or the buick century

  • that's because they all have the same basic engines.

  • except one rectangular tip

  • haha i got the same exhaust on my 3.1 lol

  • im gettin 1 next week thats awesome

  • sounds good. I must say I can't tell what motor is in that, but it's a very happy six cylinder GM.

  • Go look up what engine a 1993 (second generation) cavalier Z24 has before you comment on anyone else videos.

  • i have a 94 cavalier rs and i was thinking about putting a 40 delta series on it but i have stock 2' piping and do u think it will sound the same jw. o and its a 3.1 multi port FI

  • yea it should sound the same regardless of pipe size, I mean there might be a slight difference but as long as its the same engine your good to go.

  • dude that exhaust sounds sick. I'm gonna get a cavalier tell me exactly which one that is, how much it is, and how i would put it on. thanks man

  • The muffler is a Flowmaster Delta 40. It is anywhere between $90-$120. You would have to remove your stock muffler and weld the new one in place. You will most likely need an extension pipe because the stock muffler is longer then the Flowmaster.

  • ok cool thanks bud o and i got my hands a flowmaster super 44's, lol do u think they will sound better?

  • Sweeeeeet...I did that to my '94 Z-24. When they stopped making them with the 6, I lost interest. But that sound, that rumble from that 6 banger was awesome

  • can anyone tell me how to get a 1998 cavalier thats not a z24 its just normal to get it to sound that beefy

  • put a V6 in it.

  • can you do a walkaround of your car...i have never seen a cavalier with that color before

  • damn.. good souund!!

  • I used to drive an 86 cavalier with the 2.0 liter 4 banger, and I cut the cat off and put a glasspack in its place and I also removed the stock muffler and put pipe in it's place. I have to say it was the coolest sounding four banger I ever heard, it would even cackle.

  • Woot your cavy is the first one i ever heard that sounded good. love that American rumble

  • dude your exhaust sounds alot better than the other guy's one more q? for ya how much?

  • It cost a total of $330. $130 for the parts (muffler and hooker tips) and $200 for the exhaust shop to install them.

  • Man that sounds good, what else do you have done to it exhaust wise. Do you still have your catalytic converter?

  • its a stock cat, stock motor and its 2.5 inch piping from the cat back, compared to normal 2 inch.

  • so can you order it as a cat-back system and what year is your car?

  • It's not from any company, I had a local exhaust shop make the piping to fit the muffler. The only things I bought from a store were the muffler and the tips, which I got from summit. My car is a 1993

  • Sounds good, check out mine I have the same setup on a '93 as well.

  • hey, is ur cavalier a 3.1L V6 or a 2.8L V6? because if it is, than i can get the same mufflers as u. I'm driving a 89 6000 and if ur Z24 has the same engine, it'll work

  • It is the 3.1L V6.

  • sweet, what exact model is it? so my mechanic can order one for me.

  • the muffler i mean

  • The muffler is a Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow. Mine is a O/C with 2 1/4" inlet outlets.

  • that is the best sounding cavalier i have ever heard
