sadly, i'm not into growling etc. :( i would love the song, the style if were less or no growling. eh. ruins what i liked before. i adore heol telwen's instrumental parts but... :'(((
@BlackFolkAndPiano I guessing you really know your stuff. It seems the Bombard Flute is little known to most, at least here in the U.S. it seems. When I did a Google search, it took a while to actually come up with it. BTW, I would have assumed it was Bagpipes, although it dose sound quite different, I figured it was a different type than what I normally hear.
@ccatdaddy64 it's normal that bombard flute is not known in U.S..
irish people have emigrated to U.S. bringing with them their instruments, while the breton kelts did not.. moreover the breton music is way less known in the world than the irish or scottish music.. the only world-known breton musician is Alan Stivell, and the breton instruments as bombard or biniou are unknown to most. here in Europe it's easier to get in contact with the celtic tradition.. sometimes Breton bands tour also Italy
someone needs to beat on that drummer, it would probably sound a hell of a lot better than this, it sounds like a child very dissappointing i have just today descoverd this band and i wont be listening to it again. so much potential truly a pitty.
@AMoonlitNight yeah but there is no french influence, because all traditionnal music from France, at least in the west comes from gaulish ancestry. Change the instrument into a flute, and believe me, it'll sound Irish.
@SuicietyBoozer Aye 'tis Celtic heritage, the Galls, the Galatians, the Gaels etc. Besides the bagpipes/ uilleann pipes have their origins in Afghanistan or at least the evolution of the instrument can be traced there and many Irish trad musicians use non Irish instruments, its the music that counts.
I think the band owns Period. Great ambiance of Celtic and Black metal combined. The drums are acceptable man... Don't give so much attention to the drummer.. :)
Yes, I agree with you on this. Many people have said that they need a new drummer. However, strange as it may seem, I am not bothered at all by his lack of sync..
this is just too damn epic

Gaels are Scottish/Irish/Manx
Brythonic is Breton, Cornish and Welsh.
And this sounds very Brythonic but has a lot of French influence in it, doesn't even sound remotely close to anything Irish.
But we're all Celts

Who would want to be Irish these days? 15% unemployment, -9% economic growth...I'd rather stay in Brittany, at least you can get a job!!
