Look at early Pumpkins stuff compared to Janes Addiction's stuff from the same period. Bands always start with one very strong influence and then move beyond it. I think its cool though that they take something similar to Crush, which is a chill pshychadelic rock tune, and take it the total opposite direction into a heavy, effects-laden, power rock song with a 2 on 3 feel.

@halifuckinfan Although the bass run in this song sounds similar to Crush, it's really quite different. It's minor in Waste it on, and in Crush it's major. That means the runs aren't even the same, and really that's the only thing similar between these two songs..

Now I love the Pumpkins AND SSP, but those songs are extremely different. Different time signatures, different tempo, different melodic structure, everything. SSP sounds similar to SP in a lot of their stuff, but this is NOT Crush.
