You shouldn't play with the fan. its put to a certain rpm for a reason. if you play with it to much you could break the fan.

It will overwork the fan in your mac and then just eventually it will break or the fan will deteriorate quite a bit faster & break :)

that actually happened to me, after a while my fan was too overworked and it broke, I had to replace it.(obviously)

ALL Computer fans are brushLESS especially laptop fans. In fact, if they were brushed, then you would hear motor noises (not to be confused with fast airflow noises)

Well it depends. If you have it on your lap and you feel that it is really hot for then just cool it down but if you have it on a table or something then you don't have to worry because the Macbook will cool itself down.

Yeah,That is very true but i think Safari runs faster on a mac than Firefox. Its a tuff one because Firefox has so much to offer. What version of Firefox are you using??

2.0.0.14, I tried to compare the speed, Firefox is actually faster if everything finishes loading, because Safari try to run as fast as it can, but when you scroll, sometimes the picture doesn't catch up, and it loads from top to bottom, so when you scroll down, they haven't finish loading!
