  • He looks quite awkward about being recorded. xD

  • No fuckin way. I watched this video about a year ago, and then last months I subscribed to you because of your Arma II and other videos, not realizing that you uploaded this video. I've been subscribed to you for a couple weeks now, and I just found out that you uploaded this video!

  • @vaultboyanthony LOL yeah for arma 2 and folk punk haah

  • i'm seeing them in march :p

  • i saw this guy at the frank turner concert in TO :D

  • that was a perfectly timed "approaching station" @ 1:42

  • ha, hes such a fucked up goof.. i love this guy

  • WHY WEREN'T THERE MORE CLAPS? That was freaking amazing and if I got the opportunity to be on that train, I'd clap like the most obnoxious muthafuckah and I'd be like "WOO, YOU GO GURL." even though they're not girls but I'd be so hyped and shit.

  • I like this acoustic version better than the actual version

  • bahahaha, 2:08

    "...The fuck?"

  • @cardigansarecool the awkward moment when you realize you dont have a life when you go to a video of a band you dont like just to hate

  • Irinically i was on this train, and I watched these guys preform. The train pulled up to my stop, but i didnt want to get off because the song wasnt over. I waited till the song was over, then got off. I had to walk 9 miles to get to where i was supposed to be, but it didnt matter. The only thing that mattered, was that I got to discover what these guys can do. They are fantastic.

  • @DirectMain not trying to be a dick, but there's nothing ironic about that at all. ok, i'm a dick

  • @kennjad i mean it was a bit ironic that i ran into this video. because i didnt know who they were at the time.

  • @DirectMain That's not irony, it's coincidence.

  • @DirectMain What an awesome way to find out about them!

  • @DirectMain Why didn't you just wait for the fucking train to come back? Liar.

  • i saw them at a random hardcore show one time and i was like whaat da fuck they doin here. then I realized they were playing a show next door and it made more sense.

  • @CheapHomemadeProdux haha thats great

  • I ride that lightrail almost everyday! I would die if I saw them playing on it

  • the 2 minutes and 44 seconds are going SOOOO FAST..

  • @sunburststratocaster

If you listen to their Pandora station, you'll find the best music on Earth. A couple muscians like them are 'Kind of like Spitting', 'jeffrey lewis', 'Beans on Toast', and 'Noah and the whale'...this folk punk stuff is brilliant!

Also, to anyone debating on whether to see them live - DO IT. I've seen them twice in the last 2 years, and they've been the best shows I've ever seen! And, they're cheap, too :D

  • @riddlenet Great suggestion on Beans on Toast. I just checked him out, and his stuff is some of the funniest I've seen on youtube in a while. Thanks!

  • Is there more of them on the train? This is raw and I LOVE it.

  • That little announcement from the train actually fit in perfectly. pretty cool

  • If I saw them in real life I'd probably cry and tell them they're amazing.

  • @Spazidelic ive seen therm 4 times move to lexington!!;)

  • @johnbbolton oh god luck you. These people have effected my life greatly and all I want to do is thank them!

  • @Creap0fluigi Yeah I know it sucks..

  • @sylterria What kind of music do you life?

  • @sunburststratocaster Ramshackle Glory.

  • its a bass....way to big for a cello.

  • really great

  • I would shit bricks if i happened upon that train :D

  • what kinda upright bass is that?

  • @oakster777 cello, lol

  • @DKM101 cool storyy bra, thanks

  • @DKM101 I see it as either a small upright or a very tall player haha

  • @sebacoustic dudes pretty tall I met them in reno

  • @oakster777 I'm almost positive it's called a Cello. (Chello) I'm not sure how to spell it. Sorry.

  • @iGeeeked It's an upright bass. Not a cello.

  • @IPinkZeppelin10 My bad, generally an 'upright bass' is considered a cello. In orchestra/band, my director referred to it as a cello. My most sincere apologies. lol

  • @iGeeeked a cello is one (or is it two?) size(s) smaller in the violin family then an upright. They are completely different instruments.

  • @iGeeeked

an upright bass is considered a double bass, not a cello, the only other synonym for a cello is a violoncello.

    die.

  • How does this only have 140K views? I'm facebooking this shit. You all should too

  • that awkward moment when you step into a train and see two guys performing folk punk

  • @mndiaz3 if i walked onto the bus and saw these guys doing this id be like whoa! cool!

  • @mndiaz3 I think you meant to say, that AWESOME moment.

  • The pause at 1:42, followed by the "approaching station", is simply the most boss thing ever.

  • @Metllerr Easily lol

  • Lol the old people who got on where like

    Wuts going on?

  • CON AIIIIIIIIIIIIIR

  • ahaha, the old man's face at 2:08, priceless. But in all seriousness, these guys are amazing, and he has one of the best voices I've heard. Bravo

  • I don't know if you guys read your comments on your youtube vids, but if you do, thank you guys. You really say exactly what I'm thinking and feeling. Never met you guys, but I love you and trust you. Thanks.

  • I can't believe they played on the light rail!!

  • I just learned something about love. Thank you AJJ!

  • thombs up if you listen to a playlist of them them playing video games

  • just knowing these guys has great gratification... but knowing that i can visit these two and hang out whenever is sureal. This is the only enjoyment I can get from living in arizona

  • @jakev287 They arent hipsters if they make fun of hipsters in asong?

  • @Zaxerman2 you've never made fun of yourself?

  • @Zaxerman2 I think people are going to beleive whatever they want about this

  • Immah do it too w/ my double bass and my friend with his acoustic guitar in the metro :D

  • what city is that?

great band anyway. greetings from italy :)

  • @simomaffotv phoenix, az. :)

  • Aww such a nice song ..best train ride ever

  • This sounds exactly like the recording quality of his songs haha

  • im gonna have to flat out and say it, my husband thinks your cute. i was gonna put hott but he said there was a big difference.

  • These guys are just so swell.

  • This song was written about me.

  • Anywayyyyyyy...."approaching station" that really helped the song along

  • I love when they stop and that man is going to get on and he looks so confused because they're playing hahaha

  • at 2:06 an old man gets hit with a bag of wtf.

  • makes me miss tucson. i used to see them at dry river all the time. such fun show. EVERYONE sings along.

  • That was, in my opinion, way better than the album version. Partially because I've always wanted to jam on a train lol.

  • Nice!

  • Carrollton, MO needs you.

  • The train voice was perfectly timed

  • @LKBalooga i was thinking the same thing

  • One of the most amazing and unique artists in the world today.

  • @lodenrogue are you just going around and saying the same thing on all of his videos? he is good tho

  • This is by far the best version of this song. I hate the recording!

  • @biancnuts the album version is amazing. or do you mean the recording of this video?

  • He is so amazing. I love his music. It's also very inspirational shit. :) thumbs up broo.

  • that "approaching station" came at the perfect time

  • @bonessammy1

    Normal?

If that's what gets your dick hard.

  • @bonessammy1 "sing normal" Go suck the tit of mainstream poop.

  • @inswoon Sadly Jazz isn't mainstream. The music sounds good; its just that the vocals go high "not on key" and are incompetent. What happened to actual music? I don't listen to main stream cause its all about image. It is about how the notes are aligned with the actual sheet music. The time signatures are in sync. But then again thats my opinion. :) plus my band mates play the fuck out of this guy... And all we do is tour.. Hearing that everyday and night on the road makes me feel insane.

  • @bonessammy1 Singing normal doesn't denote jazz, sadly. Your opinion is entirely subjective, telling him to sing in a certain way is inane - he'll sing how he enjoys singing. But, you're lucky to have that type of band.

  • @inswoon This is true. I guess when you study music theory it fucks your life up.

Your so use to following the rules of music and you always abide by them. But yeah you've got a point.

  • @bonessammy1 He may not sing up to your lofty standards, but he has a soul. Look inside yourself and really dig around because I think you might be missing one.

  • @DriftPirateD thats what happens when you sell your soul to music theory. Sad but true

  • @bonessammy1 If only every singer from every genre all sung like choir boys with BA degrees in vocal performance.

  • @bilwit why not women :)

    haha

  • lol on the light rail

  • "approaching station"

  • i prefer this version to the album version. i love this song. intensely.

  • @janakovacs I don't know, the album version is so fitting with the emotion he's trying to express. Just angry serious frustration and sadness.

  • @SKAMANDO i like the raw emotion in this one, i can appreciate the clean, rough studio version, mind you. its a different dynamic when its live. (^ ^)

  • @janakovacs I love this song. With a passion. That burns deep. In my heart.

  • @MegaJoe63 (^_________^)

  • @janakovacs I voted your reply up, just to let you know...

  • @MegaJoe63 cheers!

    =DDDDDDDD

  • This must be Phoenix's light rail, I'd cream my self if I saw them on my way downtown

  • Comment removed

  • this song is actually the only thing helping me and my friend threw our breakups i dont know what i would do without it

  • they should play on every train/bus

  • @DerpDerpingston You spelled Better wrong, tool.

  • @DerpDerpingston I get the humor in that, and I like it.

  • i played this song for my language arts project:)

  • Video of the year.

  • I take that train to get to and from work and school all the time.

  • @RobertRayawordup What train is it? I'm assuming it's in arizona?

  • Is it wrong that this song summed up my entire year?

  • @Adeonothas Wrong? no, sad? maybe a little bit but fuck it AJJ is the shit.

  • @KmaC2464 Yes, they are. I might play this for a school talent show, the chorus has worked itself into my brain.

  • his voice is so good

  • Does anyone else think its gonna be a little awkward after the song was over?

  • My god, if i walked onto a train and AJJ was playing on it, I would cry of joy. They are so fucking great live, they are the best musicians I have ever heard. Byfar. I saw Ben puking out his van before they came on stage in Portland, it was badass.

  • Did AJJ sign with a new label or something? Fuck, Their videos have THOUSANDS of more views than they did just a month ago when I was on here and about 10 times as many comments too! Oh, and what's the deal with all the arguing that's going on here? This is madness!!!!!

  • his voice. so much heart. i love it.

  • i would fucking love to step on that train... i would piss myself with joy...

  • And when did I ever take a stab at your intelligence? From the way you argue your points you sound plenty intelligent to me. And maybe that's what "selling out" is supposed to mean, but now-a-days if a band changes musical direction plenty of people are gonna consider them sellouts. It's happened to a ton of bands. People would totally be attacking AJJ if they signed with a major label or if they started playing music that isn't what they normally play, would they not?

  • @TeenageAnarchy Against me! <--- proof at how fast fans turn :(

  • @Kendalloo Terrible, TERRIBLE irony. One album is about how they'll never sell out. Next thing you know? Urgggghhhhhhhhhh.
