@ervinski7 Yes, Audi A8 4.2 from 2004 had a 6 gear tiptronic transmission, but the 6th gear was only for economy reasons. Top speed was reached in 5th gear.

Five gear transmission in A8?

I thought that only S8 have 5 Gears TipTronic, and A8 was relased only with 4th gears transmission.

I just wanted to ask did you swap the transmissions or only my informations arent correct..

As far as I know, new German cars never have less than 5 gears...

4 gear automatic you'll find most in America.

not at all. in late 80s and early 90s 4 speed automatic transmission was also common in german cars like the BMW 7 and 5 series with the M30 or M20 engine.

But not later than 1992 5 spped automatic transmission has become standard. from mid 90s on steptronic transmission was build and BMW and Audi changend to 6 speed automatic in 2001 and 2003 with their new Models 7 series E65 and A8 4E.

Lets face it: German car builders are not American car builders.

No, the headlights were on... it was a sony digital camera (no phone cam) but becuse of the very bright instruments the camery decided to limit the exposure that much...

aside from that it was pitch black outside with no lights at all and no moon.
