Before I Jailbreak my Apple TV, i have a question.
What is added on that I can use as extra features? Can I get free subscriptions, TV shows, movies, and stuff? I would like to know what there is extra, before I do anything.
Also do I have to restore it? Because I'm fine if I do that.
@TheSaintsTwins Actually you've jail broken it. If you see the FC logo on the bottom right that's proof you did it. Now you'll need to get another file from fire cores site. I wrote the down what I did and will try to put it on here in a bit so check back. Also I've successfully jail broken untethered the 4.4.4 firmware.
I've done everything step by step and every time all we get is the FC icon in the right hand corner! Hours wasted doing this over and over! why? plz help!
@TheSaintsTwins Ok, hope this helps because I'm new to this as well. You need season pass of course. Sign up for an account so you can recieve updates. On Season pass's website find the aTVFlash-black.dmg file and save it to your desktop. The file will cost you $30 but it will have all the stuff you need and can be used on as many atvs you want. Now when you're at the point you're at now with the FC logo...unplug the appletv from the mac and plug the power cord in, then click on the install....

It should install wirelessly. then go to maintenence on the apple tv if there and go to manage files. install the stuff you want, reboot if it won't install and it should correct it. nito tv has the update be gone setting...enable that. i wrote out better instructions but lost it all just now and I'm in a hurry...this should get you there if I'm being clear enough...hope it helped

Hi i had a jailbroken iphone 3gs 4.3.3 BB 6.15.00. My doubt is when opened up redsn0w 0.9.9b7(windows 7) after clicking the "jailbreak and install cydia" option, in this process when iphone in dfu mode, when it detects my iphone, should i tick mark on "install cydia" and "install ipad baseband" or not. Because i wanna preserve my baseband for update to 5.0 is it possible.

Once its jailbroken you can install apps like XBMC, and from there you can add video sources such as IceFilms.info and stream all the latest movies and tv shows for free right from your ATV.
So i just tried doing the jailbreak on a mac. When i get to the Create ISPW part and click on it...i don't any status bar indicator lettting me know much of it has been downloaded. How do I know when it's done? Thanks!

After your 1602 error, hook up the apple tv to your tv and see if seasonpass appears. It appeared for me after many tries, never thought to check till much later.
I finally got this 2 work! Took about 3 hours. Tried both seas0n pass and snowbreeze. What finally worked 4 me was after I got my atv2 in dfu mode with seas0son I then plugged in my power code then then finished the rest of the steps with my power connected.

if you want to make atv apps just go to fileape and look 4 atv app code.zip use Termal to compile it with these commands you will need some Objective-C Experience

Jailbreaking the apple tv is the dumbest idea ever. I did it and restored it to its original settings a few hours after playing with it.
It sucks. You can't do anything and you have to install more 3rd party apps to it. Not to mention that Atv Flash isn't free.

just in case u guys were wondering, he has a; apple tv, windows pc, mac laptop, iphone 4, iphone 4 verizion, iphone 3gs, iphone 3g, iphone 2g, ipod 4, ipod 3g, ipod 2g, ipod 1g, galaxy s or nexus x, ipad 2! am i missing something?Now i dont know how he gets them but if he s getting them from ebay than that means he must be paying over a thousand dollars. it took me so long to find someone who had a extra iphone 3g, and my friend gave it to me for free. Im just curios how he got all those iphones

After your 1602 error, hook up the apple tv to your tv and see if seasonpass appears. It appeared for me after many tries, never thought to check till much later.

I finally got this 2 work! Took about 3 hours. Tried both seas0n pass and snowbreeze. What finally worked 4 me was after I got my atv2 in dfu mode with seas0son I then plugged in my power code then then finished the rest of the steps with my power connected.

when is unlocking comeing out for baseband ever since i got this iphone 4 last year i keeping hearing but some dev team an them is busy working on the unlock , nothing to this date . i want to send this phone off into the 3 world but cant untill unlocking by some onther that the so call dev team i think they sucks for takeing so long an stop talking about how they do it for free ...upset with the whole dev team

if you want to make atv apps just go to fileape and look 4 atv app code.zip use Termal to compile it with these commands you will need some Objective-C Experience

@martijn5244 well besides gettin bitches, u can get sexy ass backgrounds, weather on ur main menu and the ONLY reason i use my apple tv... streaming pirated movies/shows straight to ur tv from ur computer =] all EXTREMELY easy!

@SuperJerry2003 Well right now the jailberak is pretty new so there is not much you can do besides stream anything from your pc/mac and some really basic apps. But you can research more if you want

hey do u know how to fix the iphone 3gs unlock issue? i got the iphone 3gs and i get the " searching" on my t-mobile logo is at, at times i get the full 5 bars but at other times, it will go on the "searching" or "no service" mode, i am on 4.3.3 untethered using pwnagetool and my baseband isnt the ipad version, also ive tried uninstalling ultrasn0w and re-installing it many many times! ive also taken out the sim and putting it back in but still doesnt work, can you please help??????
