Almodócar came on the opening night (the night I went.) This play was done with his full consent and blessing. He even turned up to some of the rehearsals. This was amazing on stage, however, I do feel I got more from it because I've seen the film on numerous occasions, however, being a Spanish speaker, I don't feel it lost out on anything in translation. The acting, directing and writing was spot-on and I hope the play is put on again in the not too-distant future!

Again, if you want to translate a play meant to be in Spanish into English, fine, but at least watch the original version as well.
