  • Romney is a money hungry corporate tool. Ron Paul is for people's rights!

  • was that a roflmao i heard at 0:14

  • Comment removed

  • His pockets? Unless he owns some kind of stock in a corporation that pays dividends, then yeah the money will go into his pocket. Same goes for anyone else who purchases stock.

  • Romney is so ignorant.. I mean just look at the differences between the two replies

"wait my friend, oh who is the corporation my friend, of course my friend, whos pockets"

    he is a clown

  • MITT THE RIPPER lol

  • Corporations should support Ron Paul since they will ultamitely benefit from his ideas. This makes no sense.

  • Nobody likes this guy.... But yet the media sucks his dick.

  • coprporations are fictional entitjies allowed to exist by the gov to make money as much money as possible by however and whatever the means.

  • I think someone's delusional.

  • Can ANYONE see "Presidential" in that encounter?

WRONGney is moronic enough to be baited into these childish spats, worse can't even defend what he's saying or believes in.

Oh right: for one to defend something, one would have to actually believe in something.

    Never mind.

  • People are individuals with individual rights and hopefully an individual 'relationship' not 'religion' with their Creator.

RON PAUL: weapon of mass instruction.

  • @q1w2e3r467 Even better, Ron Paul: Weapon of Mass Construction.

  • @RevengePowerMoney Yes, put that one all over.

  • Mitt Romney looks funny when he's angry.

  • If Corporations are people, so are governments.

  • he is totally right, corporations are people, if you tax corporations, it will just reduce the ability to grow or the wages of the employe

  • @imtonasty Where do the tax revenues go? To the government. Where does the government spend the money? In a perfect world, directly into the economy. What happens after that? Everyone benefits rather than filth like Shit Romney.

  • @Kant419 no, the government can spend it on whatever they want, like paying their bureaucrats, paying for military, paying for foreign aid, bailing out corporations that should die, building roads to nowhere(waste of labor waste of someones money) and the material for the road could come from a place like china so double bad, do you benefit from that huh?? do you benefit from a road to nowhere? no? well you payed for it. thats government spending baby. all should be privatize but regulated.

  • @imtonasty corporations are creations, and legal entities that can be dissolved any time, modified, or liquidated. That's not the same as "people." Corporations are CREATIONS of people, and RUN by people, but they are NOT "people" in and of themselves. Just like a "mutual fund" is not a "person". But an investment scheme or plan. CREATED by "people", but not people itself. Same is true basically of "corporations". Creations of people, but are not actually people themselves.

  • @RawIronMix oh my gezus, you really are slow aren't you? taxing corporations would be taxing the employees aka people, where else would they get the money? they would have to either raise prices which would diminish their sales or take it out of their surplus earnings which could have been used to improve the products or produce capital. So most likely, they wont do that, rather they would fire people, give them lower wages or move jobs to other countries.

  • SOYLENT GREEN ARE PEOPLE!!!

  • Corporations arent people, but that statement just proves Romneys original point. You cant tax corporations anymore than you can tax a soda machine (sorry to steal the analogy), the money in the machine dosent belong to it, the machine is not going to go out and blow its money on lottery tickets, the money belongs to the proprietor, the one whom is taxed.

  • @imrich6 So, if a person spends $1000 on a political ad that's ok, since they have freedom of speech. But if 10 people form a group and each put in $100 to respond that's different? The government can take away that group's speech rights? That's what Citizens United was about.

  • It would be a brilliant trick if Ron Paul gets in but he is actually part of the NWO.

  • @LemonZeppelin He's been in it for too long. It'd fucking suck if he like sold out though.

  • @LemonZeppelin i've that about that too...that would be the greatest trick ever!!

  • Technically Paul is wrong. Individuals may be Persons, but they are not People. People is not the plural of person. People is a singular collective noun that denotes a group bound together by a common cultural or political identity.

Corporations are defined as Fictional Legal Persons. In the older sense of the word, Person denotes a persona, a public face associated with an action. Corporations are certainly persons in that sense; that does not mean they should have the rights of individuals.

  • At the end, when it's Obama v Paul, it's a no-brainer Paul would win. Paul could expose Obama.

  • Another off the cuff crowd pleaser.

"Well, I think the person who labels themselves a corporation would have equal rights whether they’re an independent business group or a newspaper company."- Ron Paul, Thom Hartman

    Ron Paul = Consistently Inconsistent

  • @niriop That's perfectly consistent. A PERSON who LABELS themselves a corporation...Paul's not a lawyer, so you have to translate that. I label myself "Law Office of cogitheum," and I have equal rights no matter which name I use. It's called a d/b/a. That's different from filing for a corporate charter and the corporation, "Law office of cogitheum, inc." has rights independent from me. So his stance is not quite legally accurate, but it is clear and consistent.

  • @cogitheum You do understand that the quote was in the context of him agreeing with the ruling of Citizens United (2010)?

"business group or a newspaper company" Sounds like corporations to me.

  • @niriop Sauce?

  • @cogitheum On my burger? Yes please!

I just said: Thom Hartman in 2010

  • Watch a documentary called "The Corporation" and you'll understand that Ron Paul speaks the truth.

  • they dont mean the same, romney was trying to show that corporations cant magically pay taxes, the taxes end up with people. what ron paul was trying to say is that corporations shouldnt have special rights because they are supposedly also people (which they aren't).

so romney is right in that taxing corporations really just means taxing people, but that doesn't mean the corporations themselves are people like ron paul said.

    this video is misleading.

  • @ApocDevTeam Right, it's just at this point -- with CEO's making millions upon millions -- there is an imbalance. The fact Goldman Sach's is his number one contributor doesn't help.

  • This is one of the few statements that Romney has made which I agree with. I think it's not inconsistent with Ron Paul's beliefs. Corporations are just groups of people-- like sports teams, debate clubs, or families. Am I missing the fundamental point that Ron Paul made?

  • @BagofHay Ron Paul made the point of collectivism -- defining a corporation as "people" is to say, by and large (since most corporations are huge groups of people), a collective element shouldn't define what a "person" is.

  • @dellitoso Ah! OK, so it is almost just another form of his "people have rights as individuals, not as members of groups" principle. Thanks

  • Watching Ron Paul is education. While Comedy for the rest of the candidates.

  • Damnit! Why isn't Ron Paul President yet?

  • THE CORPORATIONS HAVE DILUTED AND STOLEN OUR CONSTITUTION! SO WITHIN THE CONSTITUTION, THEY HAVE MADE IT SO THE CORPORATIONS ARE PEOPLE AND THAT PEOPLE HAVE NO RIGHTS, ONLY THE CORPORATIONS DO!!!!!!!!!!!! WAKE UP AMERICA AND FIX THIS SHIT!!!!!!

  • Romney is an idiot!

  • @imrich6 lol

  • @imrich6 No you retard that's not what hes saying, a corporation is a bunch of people pooling their money together to build up a company. So defacto Mitt does have a point even though he should have worded it better for retarded people like you. By the way I'm voting for Ron Paul so hold your bullshit replies about me being a mitt supporter. Truth is Truth.

  • Corporations spend billions on advertising, officers, cars, luxury hotels, nothing to do with people

  • "Corporation, n. An ingenious device for obtaining individual profit without individual responsibility."

    - Ambrose Bierce

  • @imrich6 Thumbs up for the excellent use of sarcasm XD

  • when a corporation pay's taxes its fair share at least or when it is charged with a crime put on death row in the state of texas then i will consider a corporation a ''person''

all this corporate rights bullshit is the last effert of white coller criminail's

    they have to much power

  • 28 corporations disliked this video.

  • Politicians, reporters, actors, etc are not people. The alien agenda, the trojan horse via the particle coliders in the usa and russia. The flood gates have been left open.

  • Mit - Shit = OMGawed and he says he knows about business ( ya his own ) Mit step down while he cant be a president this guys clearly not ready

  • Ron Paul is a Neo-Wimp.

  • He didn't mean corporations are people he means that all the money from corporations goes to people, either the stockholders, employees or customers. So we need to be honest about who is being taxed. Corporation tax is a way of governments pretending that they are not taxing people and this is sneaky and deceitful.

  • you have to be brain dead to support Mitt Romney

"corporations are people" the idea just makes me sick

how could anyone support such a ridiculous idea?

    RON PAUL 2012!

  • Corporations are the most dangerous threat to people's rights today, because they are free from all liability for their actions, while regular companies and individuals ARE held liable.

With power comes responsibility, unless you're a corporation, then you can do pretty much wtvr the fuck you want, as long as it makes a profit. The ppl in it aren't necessarily bad though, it's the structure of the corporation itself which is the problem, bc it forces ppl to make a living by exploiting others.

  • A country dumb enough to keep Bush W. Retard in office for 8 years might not have enough common sense to vote for Paul, however he'll still get my vote, even if it ends up being a vote wasted

  • @ronczselowitzcki The biggest joke is your inability to form sentences using the English language, and the punchline is how badly the public school system has apparently failed you.

  • If he believes this, then Ron Paul should support a constitutional amendment saying corporations are not people. An organization, movetoamend, is working on this right now

  • Take that Romney! That's what you get for favoring large banks and big corporations!

Ron Paul 2012, IT'S TIME TO RESTORE AMERICA NOW!!

  • Please let someone put Romney out of his misery.....I read he worked for clients like Monsanto.....that in itself should tell you enough that this guy has no morals or integrity. Thanks to Ron Paul for having brains and common sense.

  • PoWned!! :) Infowars.com

  • Corporations use the trickle down process. Not profit sharing.

  • BELIEVE IT OR NOT RON PAUL IS THE BEST LOGICAL CHOICE WHETHER WE LIKE IT OR NOT. HE IS SMART, HONEST,CONSISTENT,HUMBLE, AND LIKABLE. HE IS NOT A LIAR OR A THIEF. HE HAS STOOD UP FOR OUR LIBERTY AND THE CONSTITUTION INCLUDING THE BILL OF RIGHT AND ALL THE AMENDMENTS FOR 35 YEARS. HE IS A 12 TIME CONGRESSIONAL SEAT WINNER, A DR.,AND FIGHTS FOR THE LITTLE GUY AND HIS PERSONAL FREEDOMS!!! HE WAS ALSO IN THE AIR FORCE AS A FLIGHT SURGEON AND IN HIS SPARE TIME HE DELIVERED 4000 BABIES.WINNER PAUL!

  • Ah,ah.ah.ah...... corporations are people.....Only on Tax Code Book Mit!!!!

  • Corporations are businesses and need to be treated like businesses. The rich need to help us pay more in taxes. They can afford it. So they earn less but they are earning and getting ahead at the same time. If the ratios of rich don't loose money in the same ratios as the poor during a down economy or even an up economy, then we are way out of balance and possible fairness. The rich need to pay their share as well as corporations. Period.

  • Corporations are not people. Another big government and political lie. Corporations do not feel. Corporations don't need to eat. Corporations do not breath. We cannot in any sense of the term, treat corporations like people. People are first. If you believe corporations are people than they are more like robots and treating robots like people. See how it doesn't make sense. A machine, a person, since when. A business. Romney sounds ridiculous saying this.

  • Became a Delegate for Ron Paul, go to his website and fill in the form to start Restoring America Now,

Ron Paul is a true patriot.

  • It's time to stop ducking issues with demands to atomize our united states citizens.

  • If corporations aren't people, than neither are families.

  • @pcreator A family isn't a legal entity, it's a group of people that are related by either genes or legal documents. A corporation is a legal entity in itself, almost like a separate person, that is controlled by either another corporation or by the owners directly, which then are people.

It's done like that to remove the personal risk of starting a corporation should it fail. You maybe use your own funds to start, but that is where your loss ends, if it fails - unlike a family.

  • If corporations are considered people in any sense, then when the "corporation" commits a crime the owners should go to jail.

  • Does Paul have an actual plan to stop corporate influence in governance? If not then this is all lip service. If so then I know who to vote for.

  • Read Jennifer Government. That pretty much defines what a world run by Corporations would look like.

  • @krisstopher07 That's like recommending one read a Hollywood script. The book is awfully written and a grave misrepresentation of anarcho-capitalism.

  • His answer really doesn't conflict with Romney's. Mitt isn't claiming that corporations are people in a legal or medical sense. He's saying that they are in an economic sense. And he's right. Corporations can't pay taxes. Only people can pay taxes. Corporate taxes are realized either through 1. lower wages for workers 2. lower returns for shareholders or 3. higher prices for consumers.

  • @hi79302 If they ain't people, don't tax 'em!

  • @chrlpolk if they aren't people, and they aren't taxed, make sure no money gets through to them!

  • Corporations are people is like saying planets are people; just because people work in a corporation doesn't make the corporation a 'person' any more than people living in a planet make that planet a 'person'. This is one of the fundamental issues that has allowed Corporatism (Corporate Collectivism) to thrive in America and the law granting Corporations person status needs to be revoked immediately, along with a return of Glass-Stiegal and an END TO THE FED.

  • But then what would you expect to hear from a died in the wool Corporatist like Mitt Romney?

  • @veradinx The law granting Corporations "person status". Why is this a problem? My eyes have been opened by Ron Paul. But at times I need these new (to me) ideas to be explained in "laymen's terms". I would appreciate your insight. Because after all, we're in a rEVOLution of ideas!

  • He has my vote. I'm from California and I believe he one our Straw poll, if I remember correctly. We have many military bases over here and most military members are backing Ron Paul. We're doing our part...just keep spreading the word I'm hoping people will get out to vote for Ron Paul based on intelligence, but you always have those who vote on Party lines, it'll be a good race this year, unless Romney wins..I hope he doesn't

  • @spartan4126 damnit I meant won and I typed one...oh well the rest stands.

  • he is soooo consistent its scares me. im not use to this!

  • Ron Paul 2012! Support a true leader not a corporate puppet! I made a donation to his campaign today if all of us donate even a small amount it will add up quickly spread the word!

  • This is what the elites really fear. You see Ron really means to curb the power of the lobbiest factions. If we can get a pro-american elected and he doesn't just give lip service to it he stands by the principle laid out in the constitution. If the talking heads on radio had any real character they would be promoting Ron Paul as the best thing to happen in years.

  • @duxinarowe0 Everyone sees a very old shill for foreign enemies of the states, is what everyone sees. A man who couldn't have been more wrong about Reagan policies which triggered the hag to rip up his Republican membership. He also is an angry bitter squatter that hasn't done anything.

  • LOOK AT MITT ROMNEY .. CORPORATION ARE PEOPLE !!!! YA RIGHT U COLLECTIVIST MOTHERFUCKER ..

Mitt Romney gets no love .. or Crazy eyes bachmann .. or Rick Perry the big pharma 12 year old girl innoculator ..

    CMON YALL

    RON PAUL

    2012

  • Corporations are people and therefore should have protected speech (including the ability to donate unlimited cash to election campaigns) because someone ultimately gets the money that they make after overhead. What kind of logic is THAT?

Mitt, this is me, a Scandinavian-style Social Democrat, agreeing with Ron Paul, an American style Libertarian, that you're wrong. Romney, you KNOW you messed up when you get diametrically opposed people to team up on you.

  • Nobody has a right to murder a baby. Murderers always dehumanize their victims; abortionists dehumanize babies by calling them "biomasses."

Like abortionists, Nazis dehumanized their victims by saying that they were not really human. Many women who are badgered into the murder of their children develop severe emotion problems when they fully realize the despicable thing they did. Thousands of Americans want to adopt, so there is no excuse for the murder of babies- unless abortionists enjoy it.

  • @EarthRover That's the one thing that can be logically argued either way, it's also the one thing that NO representative could touch in office. Abortion will always be legal in at least 1 state in the union. (probably 40+)

  • The US average corporate tax rate is 40%, the highest in the world! Why do you think companies are going overseas? Raising taxes will not generate more revenue, it will only alienate the business owners more!

  • @crazyoldcoot Yeah, but you not really listening to what people are saying here... Yes, they are paying a bit under 40% and a bit over 35%, but some giant, like GE, pay no taxes at all, when you add taxes loophole and transfer payment. At the end of the day, that mean that the giant corporation in USA, not the small one who can't pay a team of layers pay less taxes than the Japanese, French or German equivalent. And, not to complaint, but GE start to look quit Chinese in their production :P

  • @therrydicule Then lower the tax rate and get rid of the loopholes! How am I not listening? Our tax rate is the highest in the world! That just does not make sense, especially when there are so many loopholes that create a massive IRS to monitor them, and a huge tax preparation industry to try and find them! It is retarded! Simplify the tax system and lower the rate!

And yes, GE is a company that is not using morality to operate. As such, I do not buy their goods.

  • @crazyoldcoot First thing first : It's not the highest in the world: You are fourth in brute corporate taxes, but! You got 3 layers of gov't! Consider that not running the states, senate, a white house, municipalities is heck of a lot cheaper, but you trade something else... This mean Angolian and Japanesse corporation pay more taxes than american's corp in real term. Than, you have to consider direct transfer such as subzidies - if the tax are paid, but return to other corporation...

  • @crazyoldcoot The solution is not to cut taxes and get rid of loopholes - hey, would you declare bankruptcy and quit your job on the same day? The solution would be more to centralize the corporate tax at the federal level (no state corporate tax, just a system of return), keep it around what it is already and cut loophole so that bloody companies pay their fair share! Plus, they should be happy, that will reduce the cost of accounting.

  • Romney's right. If you tax corporations, all you're doing is shifting the decision of who pays the tax away from the government and onto a company board. It's a cowards tax increase, because you are saying "I'm going to tax your company $1million. But you get to decide who pays". It's always people who pay, through lower wages, higher cost of goods, or lower dividends. You can't tax a corporation without making some people pay more.

  • This actually gave me a little bit of hope for the American People to see them laugh in Mitt Romney's face when he attempted to spread the untruth that corporations are people. What total bullshit! When corporations rake in record profits it's not the community that prospers it's the Elite at the very top, and the people know this. Wealth has been centralized into very few hands and this is a defining characteristic of the 21st century, sadly.

  • RON PAUL ROCKS!!

  • I thought the supreme court alread ruled that corporations had the same rights as a "person." Legaly speaking a Person is simply a strawman fiction that exists as the entity in which commerce takes place. The Merkabah if you will. Paul obivously is well schooled in which he clarify's the distinction between indivudals and persons.....GOOD!

I dont see how either person is correct, all money ends up in a bank....

  • Romney is a lizard.

  • @thirtythree303 Eastern Water Dragon Physignathus lesueurii.

  • @rcacad ok, I wanna talk. Merkabah style!

  • im sorry the man just looks like a bullshiter!

  • Mitt Romney is dumber than my roommate! And that dude is real motherfucking dumb!

  • Romney is such an idiot!

  • RON PAUL is the People's Choice in 2012! Join the rEVOLution!

  • haters gonna hate. ron paul = jealous. he never was a successful business man. so he is trying to ruin it for everyone else. luckily this old man has no chance of winning.

  • @Fo0dman Ron Paul is a successful scholar and congressman. Mitt Romney is a successful business man for all the wrong reasons.

  • @eyeAMtwinkEE

So your logic is to listen to a congressman talk about business, but not listen to the business man talk about his own profession? Ron paul has never been in finance or banking. Or even studied it. Yet that is all he talks about these days.

  • @Fo0dman His own profession? If you would like this country to become another product of Mr. Romney and Co. (see: banks, foreign multinationals), then sure. Strange how someone who has much less education in the field has a much better grasp on those fields.

  • Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex... It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction.

    Albert Einstein

  • "A corporation is an abstraction. It has no mind of its own any more than it has a body of its own; its active and directing will must consequently be sought in the person of somebody who is really the directing mind and will of the corporation, the very ego and centre of the personality of the corporation."

  • Corporation has become a dirty word . A corporation can be owned by a single individual so in a sense a corporation CAN be a person. Without corporations the owner of a business is legally liable for anything that happens to the business, which could end up costing the owner their house etc The idea of the corporation itself isn't bad, it's simply abused by certain individuals.Just like people say its wrong to judge all for the actions of a few some are judging all corp. because of a few

  • @lmaginaryfriend3199 A corporation is a business not a person. It is we the people not we the corporations.

  • @imaginepeace63 A corporation is only a framework to impose someones will, its not a sentient creature. At the heart of said corporation is a person. Mitt Romney is a joke but this is mob anti intellectualism.

  • Mitt Romney is not a person.

  • Im registering as a republican to vote for Ron Paul

  • @skatelongboards can you vote for him if registered democrat?

  • @Deevo21x20 Depends what state my state i have to be a registered Republican but some states you dont have to be and still vote in their primary, so ud have to google if your state does that.

  • @skatelongboards Well I Reside In California....So whats that mean lol
