@jbilovethem it takes a special brand of idiot to ignore all logic and drive into a storm like that in a normal car with no practical knowledge of tornadoes. if they hadnt moved the tiv, not only would they forfeit their own lives, but they would be presenting a huge armored implement to completely block the road and/or get thrown around by the tornado. the best thing they could do was to move themselves as quickly as possible. survival isnt always very democratic

I'm a fan of tornadoes and storm chasing but honestly, the driver was right in letting all those other cars go first. They didn't intentionally go there looking for a tornado and the storm wasn't that imminent at the final moment shown in the clip. I loved the footage of that storm cell though and it would have been an amazing up close shot to get.

And most of you probably dont even know the mechanics involved in building something like tiv. Look at TIV 2! When it first made scene, it fell apart! There's your 4wd, oh wait it was 6. Weighed even more, around 17k i believe, mind you it now has 2 more axles.

HP supercell storm. This storm can flood you in a hurry. Tornadoes can be very well camoflaged in these things. I love chasing storms, but I don't go in these things. Hard to film what you can't see. I like the Classic supercells and the LP supercells. HP supercell is good for getting structure shots though. But I don't venture into that trap.
