Raids in Vanilla wow, Kabak1234 was epic because you needed to have such a teamwork to be able to do them, not like it is today. Today a newcomer to wow can pug the best instances, blizz has nerfed their own game so much just so all the noobs can play without encounter difficulties.

i 4-manned with myself (80 prot pally), arms war, tree and a mage, took us 1 1/2 hours. all of us were of course 80s and pretty sure had bis or close, not hard anymore.
Also, since I see Horde & Alliance and what looks like -way- more than 40 ppl, I'm guess that this was part of the world event of the opening of AQ. So the location is actually outside the instance in the Silithus desert, southern Kalimdor. And this was obviously a care bear server as alot people have their PvP flags off.
This was more a PvE event, and a celebration for many months hard work...... And I guess if somebody attacked they would just get smashed by 20 other from the opposite factions, and especially if your horde/alliance ratio is bad on your server.
The only world event I can think of that maybe was close that I was around for was Quel'Danas. The dailys for that were very often just a PVP gankfest. A buddy of mine on a low pop server said when they were close to completing part of that, the Alliance guild(s) blockaded the turn in place to keep the server from finishing it. I guess it was quite the PVP battle.

i 4-manned with myself (80 prot pally), arms war, tree and a mage, took us 1 1/2 hours. all of us were of course 80s and pretty sure had bis or close, not hard anymore.

Also, since I see Horde & Alliance and what looks like -way- more than 40 ppl, I'm guess that this was part of the world event of the opening of AQ. So the location is actually outside the instance in the Silithus desert, southern Kalimdor. And this was obviously a care bear server as alot people have their PvP flags off.

This was more a PvE event, and a celebration for many months hard work...... And I guess if somebody attacked they would just get smashed by 20 other from the opposite factions, and especially if your horde/alliance ratio is bad on your server.

The only world event I can think of that maybe was close that I was around for was Quel'Danas. The dailys for that were very often just a PVP gankfest. A buddy of mine on a low pop server said when they were close to completing part of that, the Alliance guild(s) blockaded the turn in place to keep the server from finishing it. I guess it was quite the PVP battle.

the 70 raids were pretty good too, just the 80 raids blow. and the heroics now are just too easy compared to the 70s, you had to be good for the 70s but people can hit 80 and do heroics that day..
