  • Use bigger baits for biger trout, in small streams like these browns also grow big!

  • great vid those

    are some beautful browns

  • how big of a hook were u using sorry for asking alot just want to make sure i have the right gear

  • @darknessfalls714 i forget somewhere between size 10 -14 eagle claw wide bend hook

  • what would you suggest for fishing for trout in a creek?

  • @FishTheNorth for bait i like red worms and minnows - lures i like small spinners like panther martins and flies i like caddis drys, nymphs and muddler minnows

  • David Alan Coe

  • I swear you guys could catch fish in the Wal-Mart parking lot out of a puddle!

  • Use a net mate!! And don't fuck about with it when it's out of the water... If your gonna return it put it back quick not dangle it about for a couple of minutes! But other than that, I love catching little brownies, I'm fact I caught one about an hour ago!

  • best fishing channel on youtube, no doubt about it =)

  • good video where on wiscoy is this , any where near the fairgrounds?

  • @Jcwizzle44 thanks - actually that's where we started and fished from the fairgrounds all the way to the next bridge upsteam - long hike

  • good video

  • i fished there during the pike county fair and saw tons of small 2-4 inch fish and didnt catch anything what bait did u use

  • crappie tubes work fine too u know if ya tip it with a maggot live one try it out use a white or green tube

  • How do you tell if you had a bite

  • @niggahigganum2 you can feel it thump and see the line twitch

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE I was told by some people to space out my split shot. Why do you keep two together? Is it the same rig for salmon?

  • @niggahigganum2 thats the way i always done it - they get all tangled on me when i space them

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE i wish i could fish with you!!!!!! i live in rochester

  • How are you fishing those crawlers

  • @newsroommen just drifting them along the bottom with a small split shot & hook

  • do you ever spinner fish these creeks

  • @austinnale not recently but small spinners do work pretty good

  • Very relaxing sounding! Looks like a load of fun!

  • You guys probably already know this, but, when you allow a trout, especially a small one, to flop around on the shore, then release it, you greatly increase the odds that it will die from bacterial infection or parasites. Rough handling causes the protective slime layer to be removed from the scales.

  • very nice pretty fish

  • very nice pretty fish

  • glad to see a video off one of these nice small ny streams. there is nothing better than walking up a small stream in gym shoes on a hot summer day. its much more rewarding catching native wild trout then the lake erie monsters

  • Is that in new york too

  • its near Pike,new york

  • @ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE

  • ahah awesome video, love the animation!

  • I fish the Wiscoy and East Koy creeks all the time. Cant beat the beauty of the wild browns found in the Wiscoy, I have caught some nice 16-19" out of the Wiscoy but the real lunkers are in the East Koy. Although it's stocked every spring there are some huge holdover browns ranging from 16-22" and My uncle and I have caught several fish over 26" Landing fish of that size out of a stream no more than ten to fifteen feet across is simply an awesome fishing experience.

  • I fish the Wiscoy and the East coy all the time. The wild browns from the wiscoy are truly beautiful. The sections in Pike yeild some bigger 14-18'' fish. The east coy has the real lunkers .. although its stocked there is a good number of holdover fish and I have caught fish measuring 22" + Love both of those streams

  • always wondered what position mike plays in football? prolly sounds weird but just wondering haha

  • Mike was the starting offensive & defensive tackle and a team captain -he wanted to play tight end but was one of the bigger players at 6-3 230 on an undersized squad.he made 2nd team all star even after missing first 3 games and playing injured the whole season. Mikes #76 in the iron warrior video on my main page /favorites

  • what state?

  • WESTERN NEWYORK

  • i gotta say, brown trout are probly the nicest looking fish out there!

  • is the spot where you cast important

  • yes - reading the water and casting to likely fish holding areas is very important

  • Mikes favorite word is yea.

  • YEP!! GOOD TIMES BRO!!! those yearling Brown natives are my favorite!! not tainted yet, wrap em in foil w/ butter, lemon, some papika....perfect1try fishi way up Tonawanda ck. out of lockport area.10-12 inch natives once in a while!

  • for streams like that though its funner to fly fish as the trout are smaller and you feel them more on a fly rod and light tackle

  • @dobbsy1231

    bullshit

  • Where did you guys start from?

Great Video. Have you tried Clear Creek in Chaut. county?

  • we started in pike by the park.

tried the chaut county clear creek years ago - was tough getting trout in the clear water even with the fly rod and dry flys

  • I have caught trout at Clear creek but they were all small- Started by the gravel pits and cowens corners rd near the catt. and chaut. county border.

I am going to give wiscoy a shot this Wed.- I have never been there but it looked like good fishing. Would you recommend going up stream or downstream from the park? Thanks for the info. and great videos.

sorry if you got this twice- not sure how this all works yet!!!!

    Dave

  • i like going upstream from the park fishing all the way up to the next bridge crossing

-some sections are artificial catch and release only

  • Those were some pretty trout. That creek fishing is some good excercise!

ps. Nice singing too. I've been known to grab the mic when the "sprits" hit me. ;)

  • could you make a video on how to make a trout rig please?

  • all we do is tie on a small hook and put a split shot or 2 18 inches above the hook

  • what bait?

  • worm

  • u should make a vid with pike. then it could be me mike and big bad pike

  • nice trout i cath trout all the time but not on tape jacobthemadfisher

  • beautiful trout guys....i fished a creek near my house recently and surprisingly enough caught some browns ranging from 10 to 20 inches....theres nothing like trout fishing...i had to laugh at the last sucker though...its always dissappointing when you think you have a nice trout and its well....A SUCKER!

  • i'm going fishing in a few days for trout in a small river can you please make a HOW TO video for what all i need and how to rig a line for trout it would help alot

  • you surely had a lot of fun fishemen-woman ROCK***** who do you call a woman who fish my friend?*****

  • Great Vid, that looked like a hell of a walk at the end..

  • thanks-it was a rough walk

  • Great vid, animation, singing voice, and of course trout!

  • thanks Jim

  • i've seen other fishermen use a big ball of worms on a size 2 hook expecting to catch a trout but its just a big waste of worms putting on as many as they do :)

  • The two most beautiful fish Ive ever seen was a sparkling 2lb white trout when I was eight years old and a 5lb brown trout this year. The brown trout was particularly good as it was wild; full colored, healthy, fat brown trout. It even had a slightly hooked lower jaw I should have had it mounted or something because such a fish is extremely rare where I fish :) oh, and it had beautiful red spots.

  • around where i usually fish there are nearly no big brown trout. they are only ever caught by people who are salmon fishing with spinners and they catch them by accident realy. :)

  • Hey thanks for the awesome vid.

Im going to try this out at the river. =0)

what eles could i use for bait

  • Hey guys great video.....just dont quit your day jobs and try to make money as singers...hi hi hi

  • You guys are great fishers

  • Awesome video and fish! Thanks for sharing!

  • wow...looks like a great place

  • THANKS again everyone for the positive comments

  • Sweet video!

  • awsom browns

  • o look at red moss its like war of the worlds lol

  • i think that's about what a river by my house is becoming lol, a stream but only thing in there is carp and cats

  • good times, beautiful country

  • Cool 5/5

  • dziękuję

  • thanks everyone for the positive comments - didn't even have to delete any so far lol

  • Mike- that is why you need a 2 wt. fly rod on Wiscoy and Eastcoy. If you want a little larger fish, Oatka has some nice browns too. Flyrods make it a ton more fun. 'Nother great video!

  • THANKS i used to fly fish all those streams when i was a younger man some 20 years ago - used to love the dry flies ( caddis) and caught some big trout on the muddlers .

fly fishing's more of a solitary thing on the small streams but still fun -easier to use spinning gear fishing with the kid

  • Great video!!
