At the beginning of each end step, if an opponent lost 2 or more life this turn, you may put a quest counter on Bloodchief Ascension. (Damage causes loss of life.)

Whenever a card is put into an opponent's graveyard from anywhere, if Bloodchief Ascension has three or more quest counters on it, you may have that player lose 2 life. If you do, you gain 2 life.

Fetchs are good because of the new landfall mechanic and they have some good landfall cards such as lotus cobra, ob nixilis, and rampaging baloths.

Whats so good about fetchs?

They give you the land you need, when you need it.

Also, it thins out your deck. Reducing the chance for drawing a land later in the game while increasing the chanse to draw a spell instead since you just took out a land from your library.
