I am an American Soldier serving in Afghanistan. It is 1 day before Christmas and I miss home! We have both BRITISH and AMERICAN Soldiers over here. We both die the same so what does it matter? We fight and die for the country we love!

Let us stop fighting for one damn second and bless those who CANNOT be home with their families this season. I miss my wife and children very much, but I know they are safe.

Who cares if it is about a British Soldier, or an American Soldier? The US and Britain have fought literally shoulder to shoulder for each other for 90 years, isn't this poem for all of those who have served to protect all of us?

@ashton9505 It makes no difference. While he says UNITED STATES SOLDIER, it doesn't matter who. The point is, all soldiers give a piece of theirselves so people like everyone here can argue about it. Respect ALL soldiers, no matter where from!

@ashton9505 The poem does say rather clearly United States Soldier. I think your friend might have lied to ya about writing this one... not that it matters. America and England are the two firmest allies on the entire planet. I happily serve beside Brits and am proud of it.
