Dont get me Wrong i will get Guild Wars 2, its not a bad game at all. But i will play it no were near the amount of time i will be putting into ToR.
ToR is a game were you love it or you dont, and when you love it you really love it, i myself see this game growing very big. it has endless space to grow and its only going to get better than it is now.

@Sylvertiger3 coming from playing the beta.. its actually not a grind... if you listen to what he said... it can take 'up to 200 hours'... if you skip every cutscene, skip secondary quests.. and just focus on class quest.. its a LOT shorter. BTW.. almost every quest has a cutscene and lots of lore to go with it

If you know anything about TOR you would know that Bioware have put down more work on the leveling-experience more than any MMO before, with the story, choices and so on. Now if That doesn't apply to you and you just want to go to end-game and dont care about all the hundreds of hours of work they have put down on the amazing story- then yes, obviously you should play another game.
When i was in the BETA I got to level 20 in just 2 days, if that makes you happier

My first play-through, like many other MMOs I have played is always exciting because the content is fresh, what I am referring to is the Alts...now I respect Bioware and their story choices, and I do think that is what makes their games unique, but ultimately all the choices run you down one or two paths as the final outcome...so overall you are treading over some of the same ground, and lets face it its SW, there will be many alts
@Sylvertiger3 I disagree ive played through kotor, kotor 2 several dozen times there good games with top notch story if swtor has a good interesting story for each class thats 8 playthroughs at least not including redoing a class which i may well do. The faction quests only support two unique playthroughs but thats better still then most single player games and assuming its well written for the most part i won;t mind. To sum up this game has more replayabilty then any other mmo.
@DisruptiveMonkey I think only Kotor was by Bioware, I think Kotor 2 was by someone else. But ever since Kotor got GOTY, Bioware has not deviated from that template for games. (ps. I actually am proud of BW and live in edmonton) All I am saying is I think TOR is going to be a great game, but after a second run through the sights will quickly start getting old, but thats from my previous MMO experience. Swtor has more replayability then wow by several orders of magnitude these days most people that play wow have at least a few characters if not lots i personally have made four different paladins they never got to max level but thats alot of one class without story or v/o. @Sylvertiger3 That i agree with you on 6-12 months will tell all for swtor but as for the paladins why not? some people make way more the paladins ranged from 30 up to 75 one was triple and they used to be a very fun class. @DisruptiveMonkey ---not perfect but its close for an mmo and considering its an mmo it has more content then a single player game there for 4 playthroughs of swtor woulc be like 8+ playthroughs of a singleplayer game. People will replay anything therefore its safe to assume they will replay sometime quite alot if its fun and has well written story/lore.

However remember that the story of the game is unique for all the 8 different main classes, so as long as your alts are classes you haven't played before- you will have a completely different new experience. If you however want to start a second trooper/agent/smuggler or whatever, then I suppose it's bout the same, except you can go about playing the game with a different morality (first time maybe a good person, second time an evil person).

BioWare royally pissed off a lot of Dragon Age fans with Dragon Age 2.
Bland characters, dull story, unchangeable story plot, allies that piss you off and mostly male allies, only good female ally is a pirate (awesome) but has STD's. Fail. Oh, same freaking 3 environments recycled over and over.
Combat was interesting plus fun but repetitive the longer you go, Mages are very overpowered, Rogues were good and warriors are useless.

Number 8, you dont have to use the companion characters if you dont want to. Plus its cool that if its late at night, and you cant find more than for example one guy to go with you to an instance.. You just grab your companions characters.
As for number 7, again, you dont have to do it that way. You can craft youself.

@ShrikeArghast Wrong. You clearly know nothing of the game. There are many abilities you'll be using. If you checked the unofficial talent tree and leaked abilities on the forums you'd know. Perhaps in the first 5 lvls you'll only be using 2-4 attacks but later on you won't. It's not like you only do one attack all the time as caster in WoW just because you don't have auto-attack. You fucking melee scrubs just need to learn to play without having 20% of your dmg being automatic .
@ShrikeArghast That makes no sense. You'll using as many attacks as for example a warrior does in WoW. You just won't be.... auto-attacking too. There's a basic attack you can use when you got no "rage, force, energy" left but that's only a last-resort move. Since auto-attack is such a big part of the % dmg of melee classes in most other MMOs, it actually gimps their skill-potential since auto-attack takes zero skill whatsoever. And no, let's not start discussing fps skill vs mmo skill, I cba.
But that game footage is so outdated and must be from Beta because the game LOOKS great and that did it an injustice!!!

SWTOR True Darkness recruiting guild:
Once we walked the path of neither light or Dark, we were true balance but once betrayed by the very galaxy we walked and kept balanced the time has come to aid the Empire, we will never eat, never sleep until all that was light is gone and darkness prevails.
we are so much more than the backstory. we have class council and overseer structures already and we only started recruiting

@ShrikeArghast Wrong. You clearly know nothing of the game. There are many abilities you'll be using. If you checked the unofficial talent tree and leaked abilities on the forums you'd know. Perhaps in the first 5 lvls you'll only be using 2-4 attacks but later on you won't. It's not like you only do one attack all the time as caster in WoW just because you don't have auto-attack. You fucking melee scrubs just need to learn to play without having 20% of your dmg being automatic .

@ShrikeArghast That makes no sense. You'll using as many attacks as for example a warrior does in WoW. You just won't be.... auto-attacking too. There's a basic attack you can use when you got no "rage, force, energy" left but that's only a last-resort move. Since auto-attack is such a big part of the % dmg of melee classes in most other MMOs, it actually gimps their skill-potential since auto-attack takes zero skill whatsoever. And no, let's not start discussing fps skill vs mmo skill, I cba.
