You know what ruined SX1 the fact you cant capture clips at 1280x720 only in full HD (1920x1080) because I am sure the jelley effect would desapear if the camera could film at 1280x720.
And please don't talk about the SX20, when I think the money I have spend in SX1 makes me mad, Only one thing is for sure I wont but anymore Canon because Canon let me down :(
This video was badly produced, a camera is only as good as the person holding it (and editing & encoding the video), i get amazing video from a $220 canon powershot SD780 IS, the optics arent near as good as the SX1, and it uses a CCD sensor as opposed to the SX1's CMOS, but i edit with adobe premiere, not rubbish windows movie maker grade software like what appears to have been used here. The message - learn how to use it properly, & as for still camera HD video, canon's is the best @ any price
@omarspence I know what you mean but this video is over one year old, check my newer videos some are better some are not because I didnt gone to the process of editing them but when well produced can get pretty good results but the camera is still falty because of the pour isso and the shellie affect but with a Tripod can be done wonders.
@tempuspaulo Hey dont worry, the SX1 has a couple of MAJOR advantages over the SX20 IS which alot of people overlook,if you like nature/sport the sx1 is capable of shooting 4 frames per second! The SX20 is just over 1!the tilt screen on the SX1 IS is bigger, you get a bundled remote control,+ the better quality video, and even at this point in time there is no other superzoom which can take a fully dedicated flash like the SX1 IS!So dont feel bad!and your youtube uploads are all great!!
@BogusBoy2121 Thanks. I have noticed that before I have read the SX20 specs.
And yeah SX1 has is flaws and in my opinion is not the jerky video but more the ISO but overal is great but sooner or later I will get a DSLR to get the most out of stills.
Nikon HD video uses motion JPEG avi, which is an old, outdated rubbish format. And while that will integrate with windows movie maker, it willl require conversion for more serious applications such as premiere. Windows movie maker & similar grade programs like it aren't adequate for DV quality let alone HD and so they make a mess of it. So buy a canon DSLR, invest that camcorder money in some good video editing software and spend some time practicing with them. Less to carry around too
oops music was someone elses.

Did you record it in hd mode? Its looking good, because there isn't much noise on this video.
xXEnermaXx 2 years ago
yes I have recorded in HD mode, I think there is not much noise because the scenes is not that much dark because of the Lights there.

Theres no go, but dont worry I am not mad at least at you but cant say the same about Canon.
My next step will be to buy a Nikom DSLR and maybe a good HD filming camera but only when I get a job :(
