  • The scrap metal business has dominated the auto scene since the metal values indexed against fiat currency have increased. The liquidity of the metal has higher velocity on the rate of return but if you were to part out the vehicles the ROI is greater. Preservation of older manufactured items seems to be a specialty market vs simply scraping the metal on a industrial scale and recycling the resources into more technologically advanced products. Velocity of Return vs Rate of Return

  • Heeeyy Kittty Kittty Kitttyyy.....

  • This is a really great idea but Ideally you'd want to drive out there with a large trailer and bring back whole vehicles or large parts like bodies, frames and truck beds to be effective. You can get the small parts on ebay and craigslist.. My dream is to find a vintage military truck or old hot rod and fly out west and drive it home fixing it along the way maybe Route 66 style.

  • Hi Katie,This does work and very well,Its a great idea and brings lots of loot if you know what to look for.the down side is I end up with 100s of parts that are comon and dont sell because people can get OE parts or reman for a little more.Im not a scrap metal guy but thats where a amount goes.I myself buy parts that are hard to find off ebay and am willing to pay to get my rides in top notch condition and I am able to 10 times my investment easy with lots of work.Thank you Katie <3 U

  • Thanks

  • Hoodies are cool i got a few meself, i think the cat knew the camera was too low and decided to adjust it for you..he made a few attempts then gave up.lol nice one charlie..i knew what you were thinking buddy. Hot wiring is vintage lol slide-hammers aka panel beaters do the job pro stylie,i should know ;) Ohio is where they make all the cb radio mics etc if you find the factorys and get some bits i tell you they will earn you good money.Astatic make best cb microphones, tear drop/lollipop mics.

  • ¡Great!

  • Like what Fenders? Toe hitches? What would fit in a flat rate box? I'm thinking maybe doorhandles or something.

  • You are fun times

  • I like the way you think. Stay warm : )

  • Good idea! Thank you for sharing ;) m

  • Great Idea to a point, Sorry for my negative attitude. I have a garage full ot grille's, fenders, hood, doors, bumpers bumper covers that are new but obsulete for 70's, 80's and 90's Cars and trucks that I have advertised on Ebay to sell for a very cheap price but all I have been able to get are listing charges for my efforts. The problem is the shipping costs which are very high as most of these parts don't ship flat rate and many only by truck freight which is a real killer from here

  • Cars don't rust here....The only rusty cars I see here have out of state license plates and they stick out like a sore thumb. I even know of a spot in the desert where there is at least 20 cars that were abandoned sometime back in the 50's and they don't even have rust....lol

  • @ArizonaPublic hot wire one and drive to ohio lol

  • How much do you want for the cat?
