  • Adelaide Festival Centre in 1992, i'm probably in the audience there somewhere

  • If only Peter Combe was ageless and was able to entertain my kids as he enterained me. Problem is, I have no kids yet!!!!

  • I used to love Peter Combe when I was a kid! I thought he was so talented, so such a great singer & funny! He always made me laugh.

  • The new Pavarotti is now here!!!

  • @clairzilla Me too! Classic.

  • @LandyGerhardt I doubt it. He's too with it these days to have fucked his brain up back then. Just naturally creative and brilliant. Incredibly intelligent man as well.

  • omg i totaly had this on VHS do you know how many memoueies we had dancing to this

  • I grew up with Peter Combe and Don Spencer - I was only a year or two too early for The Wiggles. I still believe that Don epitomised Australian children's folk music, and that Peter epitomised Australian children's pop music.

  • @NewhamMatt Soooo true...Peter and Don are awesome :) Sadly I didn't grow up listening to their music as much as I would have wanted cos I wasted most of my childhood listening to The Wiggles :(

  • May I have your permission to use your clip in my blog?

  • Heheh little Thom!!!

  • LOL! "As I said Paparotti live from the Ophra house" (Points to the floor) "That was Peter Combe dead from the Playhouse" LOL! I remember hearing this song when I was 4, I loved Peter Combe, I am 15, and I still do now :D, I wish someone uploaded Walking Down The Spangaro. I love his outfit :D

  • Peter Combe is awesome - FYI, the song's called "Walking Down Spangle Road".

  • so many memories right here! i think that is his son thom playing the piano with him :)

  • i loved peter combe when i was 3 and i still love him and im 17...i still watch our video of him with my nephiew and i enjoy it just the same. he goes wild for him!

  • ahhhhhh love it

  • MUITO BOM, ÓTIMO

  • LOL, I HAVE THIS ON VIDEO!

  • Anyone else think that kid playing the piano just did NOT wanna be there? Ah so upset I missed his tour last year

  • that's his son and his daughter's in the choir

  • @Emsta The kid playing the piano was probably terrified.

  • Found this song after a 15 year absence :)

  • This is my fav of his songs

  • No thanks.

I simply don't like The Wiggles. It has never done anything for me.

The beauty about sight is that it is no reliable, and how we view something is based largely on our own opinion.

We clearly don't share the same one, and that's fine.

I feel both Peter Combe and Don Spencer's songs have better lyrics, more life, and greater relevance to me.

However, that is based on my experiences, not yours, so your opinion is your own, and I'll respect that, even if I think The Wiggles suck.

  • Fair enough.

The Wiggles though lack creativity, as their songs work on a far simpler level. They lack humour, and I feel that they've sold out. I see them as businessmen more than musicians.

  • No.

He was THE kids musician in the 1980s and 1990s, before the whore-like Wiggles released stupid songs about crap.

Peter Combe's songs are far, far better.

  • @uraniumdeath Yep, although ironically I grew up listening to The Wiggles. Nowadays I feel that I should have listened to Peter Combe and Don Spencer.

  • :O I used to have this video! Does anyone know if there's anywhere on the net that has it to buy?

  • this is cool

  • ironically, those kids playing the violin are older than me :S

  • I think he was like a supervisor or teacher at a school or kindy or something like that, and would sort of come up with rhymes.

  • i dont want to get any thumbs down for this, but i was wandering if he did make all of his own songs or did he have a songwritter?

i HOPE it ALL his own work

  • im pretty sure he writes all the songs.

  • it is all his own stuff. As a parent he was inspired alot by his kids, in fact most of his songs are in reference to things his kids said or did during their childhood.

  • His kids were still kids when he wrote most of his songs.

  • great music peter, the reds are are mine, next long week end at the baclony next door. Richard Jenny and family @ carrick

  • he is better than the wiggles combined

  • oh definately so true!! he's the wiggles for those of us in the 18-29yr age group.

I went to see him recently again at a kids version and most of the kids didnt know what was going on...some were scared from the loud music lol

  • "That was Peter Combe, dead from the Playhouse" :)

  • lol best line

  • surely, many kids will play Chopsticks now...
