PAU CASALS, please ! (Pablo is in castilian languages = spanish name) He was a catalan patriot, a strong defender of Catalonia and its language. In record are "Pablo" because is a record from the years that was banned in Spain speak, write and the promotion of catalan language, (time of the Franco dictator), now you can write Pau whitout problems, don't worry... please write the truth name..
The name of the master is not Pablo that this is the castillian translation of the real name: Pau. Pau Casals was catalan not spanish. That's the reason to her defens of nation of Catalonia in to the United Nations parlament because Catalonia simbolizes the peace.
I love Pablo Casals and to hear this is such a huge treat! Wow, you got the actual record! You deserve a big big prize! Well Done Ji-Hoon! Well Done Sir! Tim X

He sounds out of tune in places. It seems that acoustic recordings distort pitch somewhat, because it doesn't make sense that the man commonly referred to as the world's greatest cellist can play so badly...
That's a fair point about intonation but as far I understand it Casals would go for feel over intonation, even though he aimed for good intonation. These days it's all 'fix it in the mix' perfect tuning but can miss the emotional punch and spontaneity of Casals' best works.
Pau Casals always put his heart in everything he played. Touching

Dear Casals is my idol. Thank you for posting this. His articulation is perfect on every note, as usual. Always a thrill to listen to him.

He makes the cello sing. I had tears in my throat out of emotion. Thanks for putting it up.
