@vnisanianisback Well here in Europe SPOT MARKS THE X was not really a popular movie. In Germany it only came in TV on the afternoon, I havent seen it at all here in the UK, , except the VHS.
even the previews never really came to Germany at all, not on TV or VHS. Unless you really know some secret websites for the VHS, than you had to just import them from the US.
I would like to watch that movie: Spot marks the X. Where can I watch it? If you have, would you mind upload it? Its a rare movie, I believe nobody has it...
@ethakimm This is certainly a little treasure. It took me quite some time to get this movie finally in the original version, after I watch it several times in german TV in a german dubbed version.
One of Barret's last TV movies ( not his last but one of ).
Anyway I can make you a copy on a DVD-R and send it worldwide just for the postage as an airmail packet of around $5.00 via Paypal ( to the US ).
I converted other rare VHS movies to DVD-R and send them out...just check my other videos!
@brockpierce1984 I just got done watching Spot Marks the X. I enjoyed every moment of it. I hope one day, it has a DVD release.
Interestingly enough, this movie first aired as a Disney Channel Original Movie in October 1986, only to make another appearance in May 1987 on the Michael Eisner-hosted series "The Disney Sunday Movie" on ABC.
Oh yeah, and the music by Patrick Williams is awesome.
@MrMarkus748 Barret Oliver is now 37 y/o and an aspired photographer and author. He wrote a book about a certain old-fashioned way of developing films, which is on AMAZON.
He retired from show business when he was young but decided that already while shooting D>A>R>Y>L>.
On one recent public appearance regarding his work as a photographer and author, he wore long fuzzy hair and a big beard...just like Joaquin Phoenix now.
But at least he is happy and still alive and well!
@MrMarkus748 You maybe thinking of Jonathan Brandis, who stared in the sequel of the NEVERENDING STORY. He committed suicide by hanging himself. Allegedly because of love to a girl?
@brockpierce1984 yeah you´re allright! That is where that comes the confusion! I thank to the Lord having friends like you Robert! If I don't get in touch with you, I wish you a Merry Christsmas and a happy New Year!!!! I'll be on vacations with my boys in Hawaii.
"Spot Marks the X" also featured Natalie Gregory (from the 1985 version of "Alice in Wonderland" and Disney's "Oliver & Company") as Kathy, and Gregory Harrison (from "Trapper John, M.D.") as one of the executive producers.
Anyone know who the announcer in this promo is?

@joe65TVS According to CLG Wiki, this was done on some Disney VHS tapes in the U.K.

@vnisanianisback Which VHS in the UK has got a same Coming Soon Logo as Barrett Oliver in Spot Marks The X VHS previews?
joe65TVS 7 months ago
@joe65TVS I don't know. I don't live in the U.K.
And for that matter, anyone know why was this film only released on VHS in Europe in PAL format? Was it more popular there or something?
