What is the liter per minute consumption rate of hydrogen of these hydrogen cars???
How much liters per minute of hydrogen do these cars use in normal driving???
The device on my motorcycle produces over 40 liters per minute of hydrogen from water.
The device on my motorcycle also produces over 60 liters per minute of HHO gas. Is this enough hydrogen to run these cars??? Signed Norman Williams XMARINE. No joke!!!
just goes to show when man kind is backed into a corner we can change in a blink of an eye. the problem we have is that we dont want to. too much money on the line to think about the next generation. its such a shame that its taken this long to do. this will go into mass production when every ounce of oil is sapped from the planet such a shame. WE WANT HYDRO POWER NOW you dirty parasitic government swine. before its too late!!!
No doubt. But you'll still never see it in large scale deployment, especially when we figure out how to refuel it without driving up to a pump. Sorry your time was wasted on such a good engine.
i'd like to see a serious hho tinkerer get thier hands on this motor, and see if they could put a fat bank of drycells on! to run it ,instead of paying gas prices ! zero emissions good! normal gas prices bad .Still a good step! in the right direction, its just that the old bogeyman Capitalism sucks! and is and is usually a bad emission ,disquised as a good one!,and you have to pay tru the nose for it on the way!.
I've got a shim cell in the board that adds an electron permeable membrane to generate and collect the gases separately. This could be powered by solar, the O2 vented off and the hydrogen safely compressed for storage!
Then you COULD refill that Equinox on your own without ever visiting a filling station. And that is precisely why you will never see hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in mass production.
Did anyone notice, they have achieved Teleportation !!!! Can U say "Beam me up Scottie " ! You can now grow your new body parts, as you need them ! Getting a car to run on hho is nothin ! We Will do it !! Capilalism has made this happen ! Long live Freedom !

this guy is the bigest duche ever and all of his GM videos are complete bias with no facts backing anytihng he says. Costs to run this are are the same as a normal gas powered car??? How can you make a claim like that without proof??? Again.....your a idiot and its people like you who bitch and complain about anything progressive and hold the rest of humanity back.....I hope your happy....DUCHE
I make no claims here whatsoever. What I did do is report what I was told by the GM exec I interviewed for this video. Here's his contact info from the business card he gave me.
I like the graphics on the side, simplified water molecule. I'll all about bustin' that element apart and getting hydrogen myself and not allowing THEM to monopolize a very basic procedure.
It need sto be forbidden to sellor buy new cars on gasoline in the US, and to get a loan for a new car must be cheap, you can finance this by adding higher taxes on gasoline, US people will than earn on car production and the building of the gasoline stations.
Its too bad that some of the money that was lost in the crash was not invested in things like the refueling station. People like to sit on their money till some accountant steals it though.
out of all the vehicles in the world, why convert a chevy equinox? that thing is the worst pos available for the job. Its heavy as hell, horrible handling, bad controls.. uck....(my company car is an equinox... its torture every single time i drive it)
Is Operation Zero going to be in the beautiful state of CT? If it is make sure you contact me for any help you need!~ I would be honored to work alongside the great Zero!~
I still don't see it as being a viable business model. MUCH higher cost of ownership, same energy burden on the consumer. The only thing this accomplishes is zero emissions. Whoopie!
well it displaces the emissions to the refinery that makes the H2, And the base material would still come from imported oil, Z I know you know that, that was for the comment prior to yours.
You only need electricity to separate the hydrogen. which can come from renewable sources, and I do agree with you ZFF, nothing is achieved unless it is cost effective, coming from GM id expect the car itself to be upwards of $60000, the hydrogen at a station will be expensive simply because of corrupt commercial practices, let alone that a tank filled hydrogen is alot more explosive than gasoline, if i were to get one of these, I would probably just end up making my own hydrogen pump
Since the Hindenberg and its relationship to Hydrogen was brought up. Are you aware that recent tests proved that the extremely flammable paint on the skin and not the Hydrogen was the ignition point.
As for as hydrogen goes it sell solar powered units that break down and pressurize the gas., but the discussion is to use small natural gas powered units that will be located at gas stations. Not so green!
yeah , i kinda have to agree with a few of the other commenters here, now when i found the video on your front page my first thought was that this was a vehicle that had an engine fueled by HHO , but now to find out that it is nothing more than a glorified electric car i am needless to - very disappointed..
I think that hydrogen is a waste of time. The only reason why they want hydrogen is so that way they still have something to sell you, fuel.
Super capacitors that is where its at they a very efficient about 80%-90% charge in charge out, very durable and longlasting easily over the 100,000 cycles when compared to batteries with about 400-1500 cycles, energy density isn't the greatest but with fast charge times(5min) it doesn't matter as much.
So regardless off the zero emmisions... It's pointless. Now they just make you buy H2... WE NEED FREE ENERGY ZERO!~ This car is 2 steps backwards and would be pointless for driving even to the next state... Might be good in NYC... That's it!~
I could not agree more! I invited GM to exhibit this car at operation zero in the summer of 2010. He has no idea it will be the laughing stock of the event!
Very nice catch Zero. Thanks for posting it up for us. We really appreciate it. I was wondering if you were going to post some information about your test rig shown in video #175. Thanks again..........Spellbinder
I'm working on solar powered Hydrogen production and purification so I will not need a hydrogen filling station by the time these cars become a necessity.
I am converting my dodge neon to electric and the cost is $3000 and I am using deep cycle lead acid batteries. Range is about 45 miles which is 3 trips to town and back. I can charge off the grid for about 10 cents and when I complete my windmill generator charging will cost zero. My cost for the vertical wind gen is about $80 and since I will levitate it there will be no maintenance. The peple in washington have no clue that their death grip on the main street american is vanishing
Zero, look on youtube for the poor's man steadycam, also named the 14 dollars steadycam, it would do wonders to your videos. It costed be about $22 to build it.
my step dad works at the fuel cell company.. and i keep telling him that its not the right way to go about it. and i try to explain to him why it will never be cost effective .. because he fails to connect the dots between the cost of something and energy. i use the horse chasing after the carrot on a stick annalogy.. But he says that he doesn't care and that it pays the bills. Most people get that far..but i see past all that and say why do you have those bills in the first place??
I was under the impression that GM went bankrupt? How is this ever going to go into mass production, even if it does prove to be the true 'car of the future'?
Some of you are forgetting that HHO has oxygen in it, so it can combust (EXPLODE) in it's native state when introduced to a spark. Subsequently storage is prohibitively dangerous. The Hydrogen they use for the fuel cell vehicles has the oxygen removed so storage is not as dangerous and if it were to leak it would only burn as it enters an oxygen enriched environment. Think 'Hindenburg'. So I wouldn't recommend home electrolyzing HHO unless you have a death wish, or a way to scrub the Oxygen.
i love when people bring up the hindenburg..1 one thing that people can point to about hydrogen being dangerous.. well i say lets look at the ammount of deaths caused by petrol..hmm where to start? umm people burning to death in thier cars..gas stations blowing up. 18 wheelers blowing up. Oils spills! WARS blowing up.. remeber all the oil fields in IRAQ on fire? Aslo alot of homes have gas heat. and if those gas lines fail the homes could blow up now. SO plz enough with the scare tactics..
You know what I love even more is when people don't really read and reply without context. If you would reread my comment you would see that I was using the Hindenburg as a reference on how Hydrogen 'BURNS' without the oxygen in it. It would have 'EXPLODED' if it was filled with HHO. I was not saying that Hydrogen was more dangerous of a fuel source. Mearly that storing HHO is a death wish. Zero can attest to that I'm sure.
They did bring up several safety issues that simply could not be fixed through recalls. According to the GM exec, a couple of private homes burned to the ground as a result of the failures. These were not made so public.
they will mass produce these. Why you ask> They require H2, which cannot be produced safely and in enough qualtity at home. They will make this car because you still have to BUY the fuel to run your car. Its just the fuel will you buy/neeed will be H2 instead of ULP. If they can charge you for it they will make the technology avaiable, probably around the time people stop driving due to fuel costs. They havent milked that cow enough...
fuel cells are not the way to go... hydrogen fuel stations are also not the way to go.. the correct way to go is like this.. sunlight is converted into electicity. the electricity stores in a battery. the battery converts water into hydrogen. the hydrogen is stored in small personal tanks for personal use..it should be as common as hot water heaters. while you are out driving.. your home is making hydrogen.. and if you dont drive that day. you have extra hydrogen for the next time you do. yes?
Yes. I brought that up. GM is just not that open to energy independence. "Oh but it's zero emission." Yep. Big deal. No one will buy it JUST BECAUSE it's zero emission. Same cost per mile as gas and WAY more expensive than a standard automobile. Big Whoop.
of course they are not open to energy independence.. and that is why they fail ! and why the gov't helps them continue to fail. whoever makes the in home Hydrogen generator will not fail..i tell you that much. they will make Billions overnite !! and have you seen any cars that run off the pure hydrogen tanks? They are fast !!! i have seen some racecars with them..and the tanks are not that big ! maybe the size of 2 or 3 propane tanks.. also the gov't has antigrav stuff that uses magnetic fields.
If I could crack water and refill the H2 tank at home, then this would be worth a second look, but If I need to buy H2 fuel at PertoCan for something lile a $1 a litre then what the point. With an EV I an plug into the grid or use Wind or Solar and be independent. My Goal!
Manitobah yes !! that is exactly what i have been sayin for a long time now.. and that is exactly the way it is going to happen.. the only people that will be promoting these HUGE and very dangerious filling stations. will be the few people in control of the energy corporations grasping at straws trying to maintain their deathgrip over the people.
how do they make their hydrogen? Methane reformation normally. They should really call this the Fauxcell But it is an easy way for them to get into our wallets again. Yank the fuel cell, add more batteries, and get some solar power at home.
HHO fuels cells are way more self efficent then this H2 cell. With H2 you still have to buy Hydrogen, with HHO all you need is water, any kinda of water.
