So far, I've only seen the 1982 and 1988. Didn't get a picture or video of the 1988, but I did snap a shot of 1982 with my cell. I need to get it transferred to my comp and post it. Awesome video!
the only thing those heritage units are missing is a heritage horn, think about it,the SP and the rio grande with a P3 and an M3H,the mopac with lets say a 1st gen prime PM920,the katy with an S5T and the western pacific with an S5D,(if they can find one, only 2 of this are known to still exist)CNW used M3's and S3L's as well,i can only dream of it...............
Very nice video! I was at Rochelle July 29-31 and got about 90 trains total. Also, after I got off the Metra from Chicago on August 1, the UP 1995 came thru Elburn, unfortunately in the trailing position. Excellent video, and congrats on getting him in the lead! :)
Funny I see a video of UP 1995, since I saw that exact locomotive in Franklin Park, IL last weekend at their Railroad Daze fest! Nice you got the engineer to do the 'shave and a haircut', too.
I'm trying to encourage someone I'm vacationing with into briefly going by Rochelle, en route west to Galena, IL and Iowa when I go on a vacation there next month. How long did you railfan there, when you were at their RR park?
lucky basterd lol:D awsome video buddy, Ya know, Shave and a haircut does go well for a heratage unit buddy, I do hope to catch 1 someday soon. 5/5 and a fave. great job buddy, keep up the good work
really, EMD is obviously more efficient, but the railroads like GE because its cheaper to repair, less parts i think. and everyone has bought into global warming hook, line, and sinker, and GE is supposed to be "eco-friendly". what the hell does eco-friendly even mean???
I did the same thing when I caught a Cabbage on Train 302 one day. When you get lucky on a catch, you can't help but express your enthusiasm. It's just one of those things.lol
Lol, I hadn't noticed that before. I had seen 1995 the previous day as well, and that was my first heritage unit. We also saw 1982 as a DPU on a train while in Rochelle, but no video of that.
Nice catch there Jess! way to see a CNW unit on an Ex: CNW Mainline!!! Nice Shave & A Haircut!! Up 1995 Running Solo Is An AWESOME Catch!! nice job Catching this unit!! Nice Video!
Man you people and your UP heritage units, NS and CSX don't got SHIT out here in the east!! I guess anything ex-CR is our heritage unit. But wow, the 1995 goin solo? can't beat it.
I love this video jessica! Great horn too. I love all the heritgate units, I dont even know how to comment this its so wonderful. Awesome catch Jess! Also feel better:)
