U can say that with a fair amount of certainty that if sum1 never saw the ads but got the game cuz it looked alright in the stores, I'm sure they'd be much more happier by comparison to sum1 who saw the ads n stuff and then got the game. It's still an alright game 2 me, but it didn't deliver what was advertised. I can only hope they make a sequel that finally hits home.

@AeroAtlasR Whether or not it's an ingenious game, this trailer and the promotion of the game promised something that the actual game didn't deliver. I pre-ordered it, and to this day whenever I re-watch this trailer I feel like it's so smooth in comparison to the actual game that it may as well be for Brink's sequal :(

Tbh the preview things like the preview gameplay and such looked like the game would've been more complete (I saw proper objectives and a decent storyline). Don't know what the hell happened but if they do make a Brink 2 I hope they'll fix everything that was flawed. Fun game though =P

I can name any number of other problems it had, and frankly, the character limit prevents me from listing them all here. It didn't handle very well, the class system didn't work, and I've really no idea why they wanted to focus on the movement system so much. None of the maps really needed it.

I love Brink's setting and art style. It is very unique and gave the game an upper edge for a good story. However, the story of this game was very bland and had no interesting characters or emotional moments. There was potential for a good story though. This game would make for a good open world, first person rpg. The parkour was being developed in the right direction but the structure of the maps limit us from doing cool stuff. All in all, this game needed more time, effort and polish.

I understand that games don't often play like their CGI trailers, but this one has really gone overboard. They've done what Dead Island did, and made a trailer that is far better than the actual game, which has-very fairly-put the game under scrutiny.

all those comparing this game to team fortress, keep in mind this is made by the group who did the original Enemy Territory mod. Both ET and the original Team Fortress were actually mods for id games. They have more roots in this style of gameplay than people seem to be giving them credit for.
