There is something comforting about watching these two and knowing that one can be a 'normal' person with only marginal talents and with enough effort and trust in yourself, make it big in music. They are just average guys whose talents have developed as they went along. Now it's all this.
@Devonguitar1 That's exactly what I was thinking after I watched this, which is rare that you said exactly THAT! Wow I was thinking that if even someone like Bono (who is obviously an amazing songwriter, especially lyrically) worries that his songs are not finished to his own level of perfection, then anyone could feel that way and be really good and not even know it.. And your fear of showing it to the world because of others criticism /rejection etc., is not a good enough reason to hold u back
Two Shots, was covered by a canadian crooner singer Matt Dusk, no disrespect to U2, Bono may have written it but I heard Matt Dusk's version and I like it more than Bono's version. I love U2 btw.

he's got some nerve to go through that two shots song, I couldn't hear the melody. he's got some nerve to sing (sort of) so badly in such a public place.
No problem... our Irish accent can be hard to catch at times to others... I've currently been watching the rest of this program and it's a good post of videos on here.
I give the Edge credit for re-introducing what David Gimour Developed with an old Binson delay unit, and made it popular in the 80's, besides he. But if not with Gilmours experimants with Binson and MXR DDLS, i doubt the edge would of fulfilled his is sounds, LOL, sorry, sad and simple technique aside, the DDL was a major factor in his sound. enough said. And Gimour mastered it in the 70's while the Edge was pissign in his pull ups or diapers. Or bed weting over the ringing of delay in sleep.

@ardenbaird Well.. actually, he is so awesome at it that he ends up improvising the lyrics ever single time.. He might well have a gazillion versions of it by now !!!

So you´re Irish living in US. Fortunately Bono and others don´t speak like "full" Irish accent in interviews.. it would be harder to keep up. :)

born in US but have Irish and English heritage

Well I´m Finnish so it´s sometimes hard to understand even American English.

I see, the language can branch out into many different accents because it's used in many places.

your a dumb fuck...Noone in Ireland actually speaks like that...Except Shane Mc Gowan
No one speaks with the "HollyWood Irish accent" dancing around at 4 foot tall and doing a jig and producing a pot a gold
