IT WORKS OPPOSITE THAN YOU THINK. I HAVE ONE RIGHT NEXT TO ME. It doesn't work. It works by connecting the VGA to VGA input on an HD TV. While the RCA connects to and Xbox or something.(I think it is supposed to bump up the quality)

when i plug mine in .. i got a pc labtop .. newer 2011 toshiba .. but no s video or hdmi slot ., which sucks .. cause i loved my s video on my other pc ... either way i got 3 of these cords from places off online... vga to rca ... promised me they worked .. when i plug them in .. it puts a small line across my tv ... signal gets thru but i have no idea to make it right ... can anyone help me ? im not computer dumb ..i know a decent bit .. please help .. i dont want to buy the 100 $ thing

I just got this and i can't play my pc on my tv or console games on my monitor so i would say don't get it

I plugged it into the back of my monitor, and my ps3 into it, but it tells me no signal input, i have all cords plugged in svideo yellow white red, i know you only need svideo or compiste but i tryed them all anyway, can someone help please :(

@CERNOBE 3 months old but, they are female so you can take the RCA cables from, say a PlayStation 2 and plug in to the adapter which then goes into a VGA compatible screen(most likely computer monitor)

Can this cable be used to connect the composite OUTPUT from my digital TV converter box to the VGA INPUT on my LCD monitor with no computer? Also I wonder, why there are the red and white audio connectors when VGA doesn't handle audio? thank you.
