I'm am really proud of all the girls who were in the competition! Miss Her deserves her crown...she took her time and speak very clearly, she did not let her guard down and she met all of the requirements of the pageant itself; although it was not perfect it showed a really confident side of her. She was exactly herself throughout the competition... :D
Really weird, that these older folks have weird ways of judging these peagents. Two other girls meet the standard of a real peagent, but didn't win. There always a next time. You complained, but you not involved. If you involved you probably change a few things here. Met few of the prettier one, they said they are happy where they are, so people shouldn't be complaining.

For me, it was a head race between Ko mo mee and Paj ntsa throughout the competition. Why? (1) They're outfits were magnificent and it stood out (2) They both had good hmong speaking skills (tone-wise too) as well as stage presence. (3) They were likeable, and sometimes it was they're gestures or their facial features. It was a close competition, sometimes we also have to consider luck and judge preferences. So please respect Miss Ko mo Mee. even if she wasn't your preference. ^_^

yes, how did u know about that? Mee was on SSI because she has a hearing problem. however, i don't know if she's still on it or not. she's just working now, i don't know for a fact if she's still in school at this point though although she used to attend Sac State.

@mthor008 yes, her hmong is good. she has taken hmong classes and speak hmong at home. plus, her step-dad's a radio host in sac so he must have help her a lot on the poetic part for the talent and as well as all the poetic hmong lines she have used in the introduction part bc her step-dad usually open his radio talk with hmong paj lug and/or paj huam.

Hey I was the first run up girl for san diego pageant. She didn't do anything maybe because she lives so far. They asked me to represent hmong community for the Lao pageant but i couldn't because one of my family was really sick. So I think Mee her was living to far, really to far to do anything in San diego

This is a competition people not a charity event where she needs to donate her time to help the poor. Like come on you want her to go to thailand and take some photos with poor hmong kids and act like she's paying for everyone of those kids meals...plz...last years winner went on a so call tour as she herself put it to go on vacation and got brownie points for acting like she was there to feed the need...

She one beautiful lady. But i dont like how her words are. I mean she got strong words but it seem like she just want the name for ntxhais nkauj ntsuab. I think some others ladies who are in the competition should get 1st. Seems like they deserve it, but oh well i guess nkauj mog mim hawj is what the judge like as their new miss hmong international. I think helping are hmong people, you dont need to win the crown. You can just help them. But good job to ever girls who in there!

I'm am really proud of all the girls who were in the competition! Miss Her deserves her crown...she took her time and speak very clearly, she did not let her guard down and she met all of the requirements of the pageant itself; although it was not perfect it showed a really confident side of her. She was exactly herself throughout the competition... :D

Really weird, that these older folks have weird ways of judging these peagents. Two other girls meet the standard of a real peagent, but didn't win. There always a next time. You complained, but you not involved. If you involved you probably change a few things here. Met few of the prettier one, they said they are happy where they are, so people shouldn't be complaining.

For me, it was a head race between Ko mo mee and Paj ntsa throughout the competition. Why? (1) They're outfits were magnificent and it stood out (2) They both had good hmong speaking skills (tone-wise too) as well as stage presence. (3) They were likeable, and sometimes it was they're gestures or their facial features. It was a close competition, sometimes we also have to consider luck and judge preferences. So please respect Miss Ko mo Mee. even if she wasn't your preference. ^_^

yes, how did u know about that? Mee was on SSI because she has a hearing problem. however, i don't know if she's still on it or not. she's just working now, i don't know for a fact if she's still in school at this point though although she used to attend Sac State.

yea, as evryone knows, all pageant judges alwys cheat, tey dont play fair. (got da info from da old gees, some being the judges) but evryone did well and evryone runin for pageant or not they are still pretty and talent in their own ways. the pretty and smart ones never run in pageant for they know its a waste of time and hiding ur identy is better dan exposing it to da public. when the winer grows old or becomes bad then they becomes da bigest loser. no mater wat, tey end up havin more enemies.

@mthor008 yes, her hmong is good. she has taken hmong classes and speak hmong at home. plus, her step-dad's a radio host in sac so he must have help her a lot on the poetic part for the talent and as well as all the poetic hmong lines she have used in the introduction part bc her step-dad usually open his radio talk with hmong paj lug and/or paj huam.

hmm, i don't know much about san diego pageant program at that time so i can't really comment on that. i just know that there were very few girls running in 05-06 and most of the runners were pretty upset--but i don't know why.

Hey I was the first run up girl for san diego pageant. She didn't do anything maybe because she lives so far. They asked me to represent hmong community for the Lao pageant but i couldn't because one of my family was really sick. So I think Mee her was living to far, really to far to do anything in San diego
