  • Susan, you're just beautiful! An exquisite rendition. Such control. What a beautiful pp high c. Perfect legato in the cadenza. Amazing! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

  • ho avuto la fortuna di vederla in teatro più volte, la sua voce riempie completamente il teatro... bravissima|

  • Susan you are exceptional !!!!!!

  • How did this aria become 6 min 23 seconds?

    Painfully self-indulgent.

  • canta,ma sul acuto fatto stecce,e cela sulle note basse nasale vocale A.

  • Beautiful, touching performance. Brava Susan! Your old maestro

    Marcello B.

  • I don't understand the success of this lady. First she has to study how to do the scales. When she goes to the high notes, the timbre becomes poor and light... It's no more a spinto voice then. Finally, some artistic directors thinks that some voices are as heavy and spinto as the appearence !!!

  • This is probably the most difficult aria ever written. Kudos for even trying. Pretty voice!

  • So what? Caballe has cracked in this aria in 1966 in Liceo. This Lady has sung a fabulous Duccesa Helena in Vespri siciliani and this aria besides the crack is very well sung

  • Since when did someone attempting to do the pianissimi C become someone straining to sing? It's tough to do, people! Price perfected it, but it's rarely done anymore on stage. I give her kudos for trying and bringing a little excitement to the night... had it fully worked out it would have been LOVELY!

  • Beautiful, just beautiful. She does have some troubles with those high pianissimi, though, she almost cracked at the first one. Her trill is rather poor, and the lushness in her voice, however, is like most sopranos today manipulated by covering the voice. But that's more the fashion of today, not so much the singer. Great rendition of a terribly hard aria.

  • I do not see nor hear covered tones,at least not going up the scale;I do not believe richness in middle voice is a covered sound; actually she has a pretty clean approach;she does not cover the upper middle like too many are taught! sounds like her voice was a little rebellious that night, did not want to stay connected, and it splits in the soft sounds a couple of times, but that aside, it is really beautiful. A little flat intonation in upper middle, that I noticed.

  • Dear Susan me again Francisco...

No matter what they say. You Are Great

as an Artist and Person I Love you!!!

Guys feel The Applause The ovation that´s the important thing. what the people is feeling. Thanks.

  • I noted an audible effort to reach the higher notes and a slight strain in several notes. The timbre itself, however, is just great! It is lush, sweet and extremely pleasant to my ears.

If she had been steadier in her technique, this would have been really amazing! Anyway, a beautiful performance.

  • I will have to disagree. I hear no strain, but the "humanly" thus wonderful streching of the larynx for the unbelievable pianissimi in such a strainous tessitura.

What a generous artist! She took every risk there is to take in this aria and pulled it through!

Never heard her live but friends have been raving about her. I have to check where she performs!

  • That was beautiful! Thanks!

  • I´m so lucky to say Susan is a Very Great Person and Friend... The Light is inside of her Magnificent Voice

With Love to my Dear Friend Susan . Francisco from Chile ;-)
