1995 is the last year with variable valve timing. They dropped it in 1996 to make emissions.  Im lucky i drive LHD 92TT. Not one of the many 2+2 RHD that are coming in.

I drove to the shops this morning, pulled up into a space in my little corolla and as i was walking into the store, out of absolutely NOWHERE a silver Z32 growled its way through the car park and parked in the space beside me. Out of all the places it could have parked! I admit that i stood there in front of the shop in awe until the guy switched his engine off and that beautiful exhaust note ceased.

@300zx93nismo1 300zx's have variable valve timing or variable timing . Most performance imports have some sort of variable timing. Mivec, VVTI, VVT. Have you ever hooked you a laptop with Blazt you can see your timing advance and retard based on throttle position

NVTC = Nissan Valve Timing Control.

Now Nissan uses valve timing control on both the intake and exhaust valves.

@emberoze As far as I've heard, VTEC is a unique design only used by Honda. It works by hydraulic pressure at higher rpms pushing a pin of sorts on the cam to lock onto a different set of cam lobes, giving the valves a longer lift. If you know of where to find another VVT or VCT that works the same way, let us know plz. You may very well be correct, but I hadn't heard of it.

I like the car but those exhaust tips just don't really do it for me...I'm sorry but the "tips" don't make the exhaust, if the pipes are that diameter all the way from the exhaust manifold that's cool but they're not there's not enough room...they look like they probably say "folgers" on them up close.

Tips only help performance marginally, the least restrictive exhaust system helps performance which means pipes that match the exit holes of the exhaust manifold all the way to the mufflers. I stand by my original statement, those tips may be cheap but that's what you get with a cheap mod - marginal performance increase.

A more effective "cheap" mod would be a cut out...

Not just tips man. The HKS Hi Power is a cat-back system which takes away the bends in the pipes. That's why they don't make them for the 2+2 cause they have their gastank in the way.
