i think egon and janine are a perfect couple they are so sweet and they have glasses and they love the am stuff i think they should tell each other that they love each other they should go out sometimes and if i was janine and my crush gavin if he was egon i would tell him every one knew that i had a crush on gavin and then they madr fun of me because he looked liked me i love him. and aww that is so cute at the end because they were on there first date

Janine and the Fairy Godmother are voiced by Kath Soucie. When the fairy godmother's voice goes all evil it's the same voice that Kath would use much later in the role of Nerissa on W.I.T.C.H. If it wasn't there you recognize it from, it probably is another series Kath worked on.
i prefer the original Janine as she seem to be more of a stronger character and in line with the Janine from the two movies, the later Janine is okay but too passive.

I like the music towards the end it has an epic feel to it. The old music was the best since it was spookier. I could swear I heard these same tracks on other cartoons like double dragon i think
Kath Soucie provided voice of Janine during 62 episodes. She was the second one to provide voice for Janine. Yes, she was Kitty Pryde on Pryde of the X-Men. Linka in Captain Planet, Lola Bunny in Space Jam and many others.
Egon is such a genius when it comes to ghosts, but not when it comes to romance. Janine always liked him, but he never noticed. That was what drove her to want to become perfect. I'm just glad it all became good in the end.
Despite his apparent lack of interest in romance, Egon Spengler seems to be the only Ghostbuster who had his share of women attracted to him! Apart from Janine Melnitz, Egon has caught the attention of a few of the opposite sex, including schoolgirls and a female ghost!
I loved this episode! Brings back memories. I thought this was a brilliant way to explain the voice change of Janine. I also loved the dude who played Egon because he sounded just like Harold Ramis. I like Dave Coulier but he reminds me too much of uncle joey. Lorenzo music was better as Peter but Coulier did sound like Bill Murray.
I love how they wrote this whole eppisode as way to show why kathy's soucie's voice took over for laura summer's who gave janine her broklyn accent in the cartoon.
For the record I liked laura summer's portrayal of janine.
However I whish other series went to the same lengths to explain such a change. Anyone remember when they replaced bonnie barstow with april curtis in knight rider???
I just love RGB & JMS's run on it (plus other stuff he's done). I read an interview he did in which he talked about what happened & he expressed his feelings about it.
He really cared about the characters & was so upset about the changes made that he left RGB as a result.
I also dabble in RGB fan fiction writing & keep myself informed & have a very good memory for it all. ^_^

Janine & Egon are my all time favourite couple & I always wanted them to get together! So this ep was a dream come true for me as well. The first time I saw it back in 1993 I cried! First out of sadness & then out of joy! It was & still is a wonderful ep!

Man, this was a very powerful episode. THe issues of female self image are still very prevalent. It was nice to have this episode address that, and nice to see Egon and Janine get something going on ;).
Damn, this is when cartoons were great for kids. What a powerful message. I think I was 8-10 years old when I watched this originally and it really shows how cartoons have gotten pathetic these days...

I loved this episode! Brings back memories. I thought this was a brilliant way to explain the voice change of Janine. I also loved the dude who played Egon because he sounded just like Harold Ramis. I like Dave Coulier but he reminds me too much of uncle joey. Lorenzo music was better as Peter but Coulier did sound like Bill Murray.

I love how they wrote this whole eppisode as way to show why kathy's soucie's voice took over for laura summer's who gave janine her broklyn accent in the cartoon.
For the record I liked laura summer's portrayal of janine.
However I whish other series went to the same lengths to explain such a change. Anyone remember when they replaced bonnie barstow with april curtis in knight rider???

I just love RGB & JMS's run on it (plus other stuff he's done). I read an interview he did in which he talked about what happened & he expressed his feelings about it.
He really cared about the characters & was so upset about the changes made that he left RGB as a result.
I also dabble in RGB fan fiction writing & keep myself informed & have a very good memory for it all. ^_^

Janine & Egon are my all time favourite couple & I always wanted them to get together! So this ep was a dream come true for me as well. The first time I saw it back in 1993 I cried! First out of sadness & then out of joy! It was & still is a wonderful ep!

Awesome! I didn't know it was out on DVD already, and there are a lot of parts missing on youtube so that'll help. I can't find parts 1 and 3 of the boogieman is back.

Man, this was a very powerful episode. THe issues of female self image are still very prevalent. It was nice to have this episode address that, and nice to see Egon and Janine get something going on ;).

Damn, this is when cartoons were great for kids. What a powerful message. I think I was 8-10 years old when I watched this originally and it really shows how cartoons have gotten pathetic these days...
