the reason why you go to the bottom of the "pit" is because you have to put together another string of good fights to get back to the title they wont have you fight some good ass guy and then get a title shot right after you have to wait your turn like everyone else did before you, and tito has lost like 4 times in a row

Rashad Evans is OVERRATED. He isn't good at FIGHTING. He is really good at STALLING. He hops around and runs away against dangerous guys like Rampage and Silva. Machida made him look like the garbage. After that he completely changed his style to 100% safe mode. He pushes people into the cage and "works" for take downs for the entire round. None of that is fighting. Rashad works for a takedown (usually getting stuffed) but b4 the end of the round he'll get one takedown and steal the round.

I think tito is a great fighter, it's just that most everybody hates him and wants him to lose. He's definitely underrated, but I do think there's more to it than that.

Actually, his record is disappointing for someone of his status. I wouldn't say he's underrated, I would say he's leaning towards the opposite. Sure, he's has great wrestling, though Nog made him look amateur on the ground. But his standup, it's deceiving. He bob and weaves, but he isn't nearly fast enough for it and gets caught all the time.

Anyways, I like Rashad being on there because he's one of my favorite fighters, but I don't really think he's discredited THAT much.

I think if he beats Gouveia, he should see a top five middleweight his next fight. What do you think?

I don't think Wilson Gouveia is that big of a step down at all. The guy just fought Marquardt who is ready for another title shot. When you start fighting old TUF alumni, you've dropped down quite a bit.

I agree Belcher doesn't get a lot of love from the UFC :(, but I still think he lost to Akiyama. Still you gotta love his old-school Muay Thai.

However I agree with Os and McCarty, Wilson is a solid fighter who likes to bang, now if they had put Belcher up against someone like C.B Dollaway( TUF Alumni ftw :D) I'd worry.

It's hilariously ironic that you mentioned Machida in a list of "entertaining" fighters when he's only been appreciated by the crowd since the T.Silva fight AND he always fights to win and not to entertain pseudo-fans. I'd even prefer if Machida was still seen as "boring" because too many ppl hopped on the bandwagon when he won the belt.

Also, I agree about Tito, he could still get to a title shot IMHO.

Evans is a great fighter. He certainly didn't win any fans when he beat the hell out the UFC's boy scout Forrest Griffin, but if your a fight fan then you can't help but respect his all around skillz...head kick KO, one punch vicious KO(liddell), and showed that he can tough out a decision in several fight. But when you KO two biggest fan favs in UFC (forrest and liddell) then you tend 2 get booed.

As far as HW's, Cain Velasquez (spelling?) seems to be fighting for his life to get a shot at someone in the top three.
