Samsung NC10 Black Netbook - Video Review

@WeSuckGAMING know that mate, upgrading was the first I did ;) If the Acer looks better is a matter of taste, but the NC10's keys are more useable...and I guess the overall quality is better, even my version is a bit different from the shown one...but I didnt choosed by the looks, my ex-gf has the acer for a long time now (a gift from me) and I can really say the NC10 is the better choice.

Didnt really play games on it, or better said not tried by now.

Looks big for a netbook, use sometimes a Acer Aspire One...but ordered for myself a NC10 plus + 2GB-memory...can't wait to get...

just so you know, that video you were watching in your review, was not HD. HD videos on youtube are 1280x720 and the NC10 is not capable of handling videos of that resolution smoothly.

I found your intro to the Samsung NC10 not a bad review, I would say that these netbooks aren't exactly designed for Vista, due to insufficient power performance from an Atom chip. There is simply isn't enough pulling power to push the applications to run smoothly. personally, I had a Samsung laptop for a few years before getting a Sony Viao 16-inch replacement. For travelling, I have a HP 2140, it is better & offers a little more in features, like the expansion card slot for TV, 3G etc.

yeah, the main thing that is leading me to buy the white one rather than the black one is the fact that the black doesn't have a matte finish on the outside. i hate having fingerprints on the glossy body.

it doesn't bother me. Ive had both and they are just as nice as each other. One thing that is quite gay is that on the black one, f7 and f8 are blue coloured buttons which is quite batty lol

same old quality on every netbook to be honest. the maximum sound isnt that loud but with some decent set of headphones plugged in it sounds great.

I have to say, it really is.  For a keyboard so small it really does do the trick. I got used to it straight away and the keys are clearly spaced out.

i agree that it's easy to type, but "so small" part isn't really true. It's 93% size of normal keyboard which is big enough and not "so small"

I haven't put anything on there really; just use it for travelling. I'm not sure if it would be suitable for games - might have to check out some other vidz!

I don't understand why people expect to get any decent frame rates in games on netbooks. You may get playable rates at 800x600 and details way down, but not much else. It's not designed for that. My NC10 can play halo, starcraft, old titles, but COD, WOW, Sins of a Solar Empire, all choke when I try to play at any setting past "ugly". If you must play games in a netbook form factor, look at the Asus N10J-A1 or -A2, they have discreet graphics solutions, at a price though.

Well it has 160 HD memory so it should be able to run a number of programs. I run most of mine on my Vaio which has around 200 HD and I find the functionality quicker with Vista overall with a number of tabs open, the different number of videos you can watch and in HD quality. I only use this for skype and Internet browsing. However I have seen a video of someone managing to download World of Warcraft on this system which is definately saying something! I use my Vaio for reliability.

I'm considering this to replace my current PC. This PC is rather loud, which annoys me. I don't game on it anymore since I bought a PS3. But, my question is: is that Samsung able to run programs like for instance; Photshop? Thanks...
