raptor can get a jump on the 700XX but after 3rd gear the XX will beat it. Depends on the rider who can get the whole shot, but the XX has more power and will take the raptor once it hits 3rd

If honda wants to compete with the raptor first of all they need to cut the weight down to 370 or so like the raptor. Also the plastics need to be more arow dynamic it is almost a utillity. The engine isnt a problem i dont think but the independent rear suspension?

370? The outlaw doesn't even weigh that much. Outlaw is 386 dry. The XX is 505 soaking wet. Its easy to ride, I'm only a 160lbs. at 5'11" and I own it! doesn't feel heavy at all.

That is one thing ppl don't understand about the XX is just how light it feels, and the power is way plenty to make up for the extra weight. Better power to weight ratio than the raptor. Also, in the vid he mentions how instead of sliding around corners, you can keep up your speed. The IRS keeps traction around a corner so that you can easily accelerate out instead of sliding.

The curb weight of the TRX700xx reported by honda is 505 lbs. with all of the fluids present, i.e. battery, oils, coolant, full tank of gas...etc. The raptor's reported weight of 396 is the dry weight, so when it is all said and done the Honda actually only weighs about 60 lbs more when riding.

Go Honda over Yamaha. Honda has so much advantages over the Yamaha. Ground clearance, handling etc. Also the Honda is cheaper than the Yamaha. It will also last longer. Honda make really good bikes.

Honda motors are awesome, they'll last a over 30,000miles if you keep on top of the maintenance. The independant suspension is revolutionary, the ride is unbeleivable. Does not make it tippy! Its called Anertia, you have to lean or kiss your ass good bye.

the 700 is nice, don't get me wrong, but the irs is not gonna help any when it comes to racin, as well as the extra weight. nice bike, but too heavy and hittin turns hard make it want to roll. the 450r is gonna be a 1st pick for most, also for price.

EDIT: also since the 700xx has IRS it will feel tippy on the smooth straight aways and considering its as narrow as a 250 expect to tip over on it alot... i have been riding a ltr450 since 2006 i race as well, i usually never tip around corners when if i was on the 700... well then i would need to put acouple thousand into some extended a arm and rear wishbone axles and some 2 grand elka shocks...

dont get the 700 dont get the 400 as a madder of fact.. i wouldent get another honda, u should get the z400 ltr450 or the yfz450 dont get the 700 the 700's weight is about 505lbs with all fuels when the ltr450 is about 390lbs with all fuels... that should answer your question.

It's much more reliable and has a better power to weight ration so you'll get better milage with your gas and faster acceleration!!
