  • Very good cover... XD

  • Great job, left some notes out still the best I've seen though

  • Damm! your sound is great, really

  • Props for not playing with a pick

  • man, this covers you do on your bass of Interpol´s songs are always awesome. Would you say Interpol is hard to play on bass?

  • this is great. i love that you are playing without a pick.

  • you do the best Interpol covers

  • @bassplayer94can

Thank you. It does mean a lot because I tried to do the best job on these specifically. I tried on some other covers, but especially on the Interpol songs.

  • What happened to your other tuning key or is supposed to be like that? Nice playing btw.

  • what bass did you use? its so beautiful . i see that is fender but what ?

  • @george280595

Thank you. It's a Fender Precision Deluxe.

  • Carlos is a genius :)

  • Nice job man. It has some different things about the one Carlos plays but you're amazing. I did a cover too but using pick. It makes it a whole different playing.

  • i just actually noticed by playing...why do you have the E string detuned?!

nice bass though, looks like a mike dirnt 51 p look is it?

  • @blasidan

It's called "drop D." It's when the standard E tuning is dropped down a whole step to the note D. It's how Interpol's bassist plays most, if not all, of their songs. Considering the key they play in, how much he uses the note D, and the fact that he uses octave jumps, drop D makes it easier to play Interpol's songs. You just have to get used to knowing where the notes moved when you play, haha.

As for Mike's bass, I'm not really sure. I don't listen to Green Day haha.

  • @PortiaKrouse876

I download me playing this song?

  • nice n.n

  • @bakersman12 same with me on the guitar,i alot of times miss the string and that really pisses me off,im better off with my finger. Also, your awesome with that bass, did you learn it by yourself or you had a teacher? because you really got talent. I wanted to play bass more than guitar,it sounds cooler.Do you think its hard to play the bass or do you think its easier to play bass than guitar? Also i subscribed, well done :D

  • @masterex2

I learned some theory and stuff, but I mostly just learn different songs. I play on two worship teams too so that helps.

Yeah, it's easier to play than guitar because you only have to hit one note at a time. A lot of the time doing just that sounds perfect. So you can't go wrong. But you have to have rhythm. You can't just hit the notes whenever you want. You have to be on time. But it's cool. I like it.

  • The song is in drop D man,

wow good songs, I think I'm gonna suscribe to your account!

  • @blasisaguirres

Yeah, I'm playing it in drop D.

    And thanks!

  • dude awesome

just wish you would've made the bass louder

the bass in this song is so sick

  • @ItsCrobar

I can never tell if it's too loud on the camera until I watch it, but by then the videos made and I don't want to have to redo it it if I don't have to. Try listening to it with headphones if you haven't. It'll be easier to hear. Hope all goes well, and thanks for your comment!

  • Hah I love the breakdown around 3:40

    Great cover man.

I'm a big fan of Carlos, too bad he left the band =|

  • @Afroninja627

Thank you! Me too. Do you like the new album? I've only listened to it once, and I'm not a fan of it too much.

  • wow...

  • Damn this guy can play, those octave jumps sound sweet, Carlos sure knows how to write a bass line, you nailed it.

  • @IndieButNotAlone92 Thanks! He is sooo good.

  • love it!

    your playing is damn good,

    really, respect

  • @JsKiller88

    Appreciate it

  • freaking

    awesome

    cover!!

  • @dantedoug

    Thank you;)

  • Uff buenísimo ;D 5 Estrellas!

  • @MalchikGii

    Thanks!

  • congratulations.your cover is the best one i've seen till now.except sometimes you do more than the actual bassline, but good done. you should try to play it with the pick though!

  • Oh thanks! When do I play more then the actual bassline? I thought I played all the stuff Carlos does.

And I wouldn't mind playing it with a pick, but he octave jumps get me.

    ...I could practice blah blah...

  • @blasidan

Do I play more than the bassline? I didn't think I did, but oh well, haha. I would play with a pick, but...I just hate it. I don't play with it enough to actually be good at it so I just stick to my fingers.

  • Nice performance.

    Well played with skill

    Bravo 5*

    Fabrizio

  • Thank you very much. I greatly appreciate it.

  • In the verse, if you'll notice I lay a low B when I alternate b/t the low B andthe high D. I don't know why I played the low B. I could have played the B on the D string instead, but apparently I was too stupid to remember the octave of the lower B was right above it.

    Doesn't matter.
