Wow, I think this guy doing the interview is a little bit of a hater. Even with the guy making rude little digs at him, Arnold keeps his cool and calls the guy a great interviewer. Funny how uncomfortable the panel looks up there with Arnold and he is just kicked back joking around. His attitude was way ahead of it's time.
What I love about Arnold is it's not just his body that's a symbol of strength, it's his entire being. His personality, his intelligence, his charisma. Everything about the man is a symbol of power. He could just sit there and by looking at him you would know if he wanted to he could take over the world. The way he sets a goal and destroys any obstacle in his way and attacks his dream with relentless ambition is such an inspiration. And he makes this interviewer obsolete, which I love.

The interviewer was trying so hard to make Arnold look like this egotistical, muscle head, dumb freak. And to hear the crowd cheer when he would make his point and have them on his side like that made the interviewer look even more like a simpleton. I despise people like that interviewer. he'd won Olympia 6 times and was 28 when he left at the top in 1975. That makes him 31 in this Interview. He came back and won it for the 7th time in 1980, then took over the world in action movies through the 90's

He makes a good point of showing that what he does for a living is the embodiment of what everyone in the western world ascribes too. The interviewer was trying so hard to make Arnold look like this egotistical, muscle head, dumb freak. But no matter how he tried Arnold put him in his place and did it so calmly and so confidently and with such an aura of true greatness that was amazingly stunning for me myself to watch. And to hear the crowd cheer when he would make his point and have them on his side like that made the interviewer look even more like a simpleton. I despise people like that interviewer. They do not understand.

he'd won Olympia 6 times and was 28 when he left at the top in 1975. That makes him 31 in this Interview. He came back and won it for the 7th time in 1980, then took over the world in action movies through the 90's

He makes a good point of showing that what he does for a living is the embodiment of what everyone in the western world ascribes too. That is being goal-orientated, self-aggrandizing, egotistical, the acquisition of wealth with a foundation in consumption/capitalism. Unlike most people living here at least he admits that what it is that makes him who he is, is what for the most part is frowned upon by most people who ascribe to western mantra. He's more intelligent than I thought.

yeah, if you check out his interviews and such... (not the 'i did a muvy and the effects were vantasteek' ones) he seems rather intelligent, i think its just a language/culture barrior at the beginning. he became very americanized by the 90's though.
i actually think in some ways 50 cent is like a new arnold... and i'm not making a simple 'they both have muscles' comparison...

this interviewer is an asshole ..he seems to try and keep telling arnold that bodybuilding is silly and arnold just makes him feel silly plus the crowd too. by the end of the interview that confident reporter looked flustered and intimidated...classic arnold..one of the reasons arnold would be a good president...he woulda put himself in a room 4 da nite with saddam hussein and said just "give up"..and saddam would have....he is the master manipulator...lol
