But I'm sorry, that's not the state of the world right now. I'd give it to a local charity that specializes in helping folks in financial distress. I'd rather not say which one for privacy concerns, but you get the general idea: Saving people is more important than saving animals.

I think what Social Tee's is doing is awesome. People always seem to want kittens, or puppies. I think it is much better to adopt a pet! I adopted my dog five years ago, and she is a great pet! And I like the donation given as well!!!!!

I would donate to my credit card bills to knock them down. It's hipocrisy to donate while in debt, basically donating other people's money away. They can donate it themselves. If you were guaranteed a job, or a source of income, and a schedule of guaranteed debt repayment, that'd be different. But part of the reason why interest is charged is risk, because repayment is uncertain, and future value of a collateral or the value of the dollar itself, inflation, is uncertain.

Really cool about volunteering at the shelter though. I adopted a dog about 2 weeks ago... I've never understood why people get so bent on a certain breed that they have to go buy it when there's perfectly happy and healthy animals that actually really need a home. Not to mention that mutts usually have less medical problems. It's the best of both worlds.

everytime i see those commercials on TV i have to change the channel they are so sad. I adopted at the time 4 week old great dane. Now he is a year and 9months old and my best friend. He even sleeps in the same bed as me at night. Even thinking about getting one more. I donate to the Wounded Warrior Project. They help returning home vets with disabilities in every need. Weather its rehab, hospitals, counsiling, and job placement. Its a great org. and what better way to help out our vets
