I have this exact same bike (2008) Schwinn Pointe Beach. I also just ordered the 4 stroke 49cc engine with belt drive from bicycle engines dot com. Hope it does as well.

Nice basic motor build. Very Clean.

Personally, I would swap that fuel filter around the other way - but as we all can see, it ran this way round as well! The kits from China do not come with a direction arrow.

Sometimes, an upside-down fuel filter means the engine will miss at high speeds, you will see air in the fuel line and the filter itself. Putting it the "right" way round (with the flat part down) insures the fuel lines stays full of fuel.

@MrMyWoods Actually, there are a number of 4 stroke 50ccs that are more powerful and have higher rpms than these 66cc 2 strokes (they are advertised as 80cc but are actually 66cc). Take for example the Titan XC50S, which produces 3hp compared to a 66ccs 2.5 hp. Another would be the Honda GY6 50cc.

Get a dual pull brake lever and put it n the right side. One lever pulls both brakes.

No messing with two levers on the left then.

mine came off and i fell hard.. i was only doing like 5 mph on the top gear when it came off and stuck in the back wheel... just wondering if it happend to you... i think mine did because i dont have it adjusted properly it doesnt click into gear it backs back out so its prolly my fault
