The way I see it, iMac computers are a completely tricked out deal. Especially when an Apple display goes for 999 dollars alone. That means the extra 200+ dollars is the computer. That seems pretty sick since those specs (for the lowest one) probably go for 500-600 in a laptop.

@Rifalltoo, Apple over charges as much as $1000 for the hardware. fantards will deny this, but an i7 based computer that can run rings around apple's $1600 imac cost only $700. And after being a year late, apple finally introduced i7 at $1999, lol. And if it's not the hardware, then apple is charging OVER $1000 for osx which is not really worth it. If I care, my computer is so fast that I can run virtual unix/linux etc under windows 7 and it will be FASTER than a typical imac.

Yes it's still expensive, but it's also just to weed out bitches like you. The people who work with mac computer are those who really want one and are willing to fork a little extra for build quality and software quality instead of a new Aero interface that takes up most of your systems specs. I showed a friend with mac my i7 @4ghz, rendering video and doing studio work faster than his $2500 mid level imac pro, and he was sick, lol. Then I hackintoshed and showed him it running osx faster than he can, but of course i put windows 7 back on it. He had to admit it was cool and bought a new PC. He sold his mac.

If you're looking for a good laptop computer for on the go, tablets are great. HP has the best I've seen/used yet. Apple is releasing a tablet soon, from what I've seen of it, it's more of a slate though. Apple usually makes pretty good products though, so we'll see how that turns out. But I'm a PC so.. I'd suggest an HP TX2 tablet. Or, if your macbooks what you want/need, sure stick with that.

#1. All in one computers cost about 600 dollars and DOESN'T even come with a good hard drive. Usually only 60 gbs.

#2. Anyone who owns or has ever used a Mac knows that it is worth the price.

Definitely a Mac. Application switching is easy due to the dock, it has a lot less problems, it has voice control (which I use a lot while multitasking, it's useful to just be able to say "Open Firefox") They look better, can run Windows/Linux as well, it comes with good bundled software (instead of that Windows bloatware that nobody uses but M$ still puts in to make it look like the computer actually has some out of the box functionality. DEATH TO MICROSOFT!

I just got my first Mac computer yesterday, an iMac 24" 3.06ghz upgraded to 8GB and 1T hard drive.

I regret waiting soooo long to get a Mac computer, but in a way I'm glad I did because they upgraded the memory to a 8GB, and memory I need for music production.

Computer like anything else is personal preference, I got a Mac to see what's all the fuss is about having a Mac computer, and personally I see it.

Just get what you like and know is gonna work for your needs. PC or Mac!
